We were getting about 170 miles of range in the MG, which is good at about 4 miles/kWh. About 20 miles short of what my wife needed to visit our daughter without having to charge, which she does not like doing.

We borrowed the Ioniq for the same trip and it did it with range to spare, so she should be good in the colder weather as well. The Ioniq driving on A Roads returned 5.7 miles/kWh.

The MG is a fabulous EV, and even better after the software update was recently carried out. Only reason was slight lack of range, which would drop a bit more in winter.

Clearly the I-Pace does not have such an issue with its 90kWh battery 😁

My wife is waiting for her new MG ZS EV.
Rangewise she is stepping down from the Opel Ampera-e, but she's never in need of that range so on most other parameters the MG appeared to be better. Interior looks, interior space, assistants, panorama roof and so on. The old Opel can be sold for almost the same as she pays for the new MG.

Fair enough, mine has only fueled her car up about twice in 10 years, she hates filling it up, like yours doesn't like charging. I am pushing her to change to an EV for her next car, but she wont be changing it for a while yet.

Your wife will be very impressed with MG. It has more room than the KIA and Hyundai SUV EVs, and clearly wins on price.
