That merger probably seals the fate of Ellesmere Port and Luton within the PSA organisation. Everything will be concentrated in France, Italy and Germany (for the time being).
Sad really. PSA were/are coming out with some decent EV designs. Fiat has IMHO singularly failed in that area.

I suspect that’s the logic behind the merger. PSA give FCA access to some decent EV platforms (as well as eliminating their need to buy green credits from Tesla) and FCA gives PSA an improved market position in the USA.

Pretty good summary.

Fiat lagged behind on EV because Marchionne (former CEO) was not beliving in the rapid evolution of the electric car market.

I listened to an interview this morning of PSA ceo and he said that it will take one year to complete the deal . In particular he has to take into account
the EU remarks
