It’s not rocket science, if the guys at Tesla can manage it .....

How many years has Tesla had to refine it?

You don't need years to make an internet site that owners can enter to see current and future updates.
The main issue here is lack of information.

(Don't know if this is new):

Went to the dealer today for a software update.

H159-V3 should be installed now.

Should now include:
- OTA-updates
- 100kW charging

In the software-updates settings I see a new buttons: "Lock software updates" and "Software updates ON"

Infotainment is running S18D
Good news Bart.

Out of interest and because all of this is new to most of us I’m guessing.... what’s the procedure now for existing owners given we know there’s a new update available?
You would hope that there would be a notification either in the car or on the app as one would expect on their iOS or Android devices.
In an ideal world the user would then simply install the new software with a couple of clicks on the infotainment screen.

The other and less desirable option would therefore be contacting the dealer, booking an appointment and waiting for them to install.

Does anyone know what happens next please? 🤔
I had made an appointment a couple of weeks ago to install a tow bar [rip off, other subject]. They offered me to make the software up to date, an when I asked (at pick up) what the update was about, they really had to look things up to find out what the update was about..

I am kind of flabbergasted [love that word] by the lack of knowledge / interest at the dealer about the whole "I-pace-thing", which includes: charging, OTA-updates, range etc

So Bart, can you try to charge 100 kW at Fastned or should we wait on an update for the chargers themselves?
Hanssolo, did not try yet (lack of time / opportunity). The accompanying email said it would now be possible, but there seem to be some communication issues between some EVs and some specific brand chargers..

I was at a 175kW charging station with liquid cooled cables. They were still configuring a testing the station but the technicians really like to test my I-Pace with the latest software (18D/15.2). We tried all different stations but only managed a short peak of 50 and then a drop to 35kW. Pretty crappy but I’m afraid my car is not really representative with black screens.

Absolutely that would be a quick way to do it. If we had the information I could knock up a site we could enter information on in a day but then again we could use a sticky post here.

I had an appointment with my dealer yesterday for a software update. My ipace is from Oktober so had to do a lot updates. The dealer mentioned that after this update the car should be able to do:

- 100kw charging on some stations
- Be ready for OTA. But problem was jaguar themself are not ready. So you can receive them. But they will not/can’t sent them :D

All sounds great. Unfortunately after 8 hour work. The software update didn’t succeed. It seems that the car was originally created for the French market so it gave some errors with the Voice control when they where updating it with their Dutch software. :?

I need to say the dealer handled it very nice and gave me an backup iPace. But now I can say updating the car is far more work then just pushing a button.

If I have it back. I shall visit a 175kw Fastned station. I don’t expect much since they already mentioned they have problems with Fastned. But atleast I can check.
