Yes, there was a similar thread on uk FB group where I shared same annotated screenshot you have; the OP said it wasn’t present in their android app. Agree, pretty strange that’s the case
Well, at least my case is now resolved. The helpdesk decided to send me the key without charge given that they agree that the android app lacks an order button. However their default position regarding UK based Jaguar I-Pace customers was that the Jaguar dealer was supposed to have provided a key at the time of car purchase

BTW: Here is a screenshot of the android equivalent of the screen that ADD showed - no order button...

Thanks,

I spoke to the team @plugshare yesterday and think I've ended up in the same position - they capitalised my comment on the resulting ticket that the dealer was not aware of their responsibility to issue a RFID card, my local dealer has no clue....

My dealer forgot to hand it over, too. I asked for the RFID card one year after the car purchase at the dealer. Just drove to the dealer and got it without any problems. The special agreements at plugshare are bound to the Jaguar branded RFID card

No, you can pair any PlugShare card (as long as it hasn’t already been paired to another account) with your Jaguar app and get the Jaguar prices.

Do you actually need the card, or can you just use the app? I might use this once a year, so not paying for a card, nor visiting dealer I bought from as they are 100 miles away. Maybe local dealer can help if needed?

You can just use the app. But two possible issues are:-

1. No data signal. Unlikely to be an issue at the current Ionity sites.

2. New chargers do not appear on the app. I used Perth last week and the chargers didn’t show up in the Jaguar app (it’s only been open a short time). It worked fine with the card though.

Other than those two caveats, you can just use the app.

Strange, it definitely didn't work. I had to register the Jaguar card and only then the options appeared. I am sorry, but it did't work like you described it  :)

Had the card already been activated with a normal PlugShare account? Because when you order from the Jag app on iOS the card that comes is from PlugShare. It has no Jaguar branding. Even the enclosed letter is a standard PlugShare letter. I ordered both together and both arrived within a couple of days of each other. There was no way to distinguish between them at all. The ones you receive from Jag dealers are Jag branded I think, but the ones you get from the app (or website) are just standard PlugShare cards.

Indeed I got a normal black Plug surfing card but when linked to the Jaguar Plugsurfing app it works just fine, I am charging at Ionity for €8.57 as I type this.

Ionity Cobham (M25)

There are six chargers in place with cables and markings on the road. The cables are secured out of use by a load of plastic wrap. It looks like it won't be long before it comes on line.

I stopped for a natural break. I thought about doing a splash and dash but there was a Leaf using the one charger that has CCS (plus CHAdeMO) and the owner was not going to budge despite the charger next door 9with CHAdeMO) being free. Ecotricity were on free vend all day.

As I was leaving, I saw my first Taycan. Lovely looking car.
Driving "Hirundo Rustica" since 15th Mar 2019. Lovely Jubbly :D :D
