Good to see they are building at the Beaconsfield services, opposite the Ecotricity units... hopefully put those ones out of business!
... or motivate them to up their game! :D

The UK is in a miserable place for Ionity chargers.

What a difference a couple of weeks makes! UK may still be a miserable place for Ionity chargers, but they are gradually putting us out of our misery!

Beaconsfield, Baldock, Peterborough, all useful for me - great news - if not until the spring...

On the positive side you can say that Ionity is on track to meet their objective of 400 active stations by the end of 2020

True but due to the lack of new construction in December more will need to start early 2020 and do better than January 2019 when only 3 new constructions started.
To reach the 400 live by end 2020 - Ionity should start construction on 17 stations per month from Jan to Sep with those starting in September being completed in 90-100 days.

FYI:
December 2018 - 19 new constructions
December 2019 - only 7 new constructions

2019 YTD numbers:
163 new construction versus 91 in 2018
157 sites went live versus 45 in 2018

PS: - Tesla just opened its 500th Supercharger station and they have on average 9.4 stalls per station versus 4.1 stalls that Ionity has and the Superchargers are ONLY used by Tesla's while the Ionity stations are being flooded by Model 3.

I guess that is because of IONITY's £8 / 8 Euro / 8 kr flat charge.

I passed by here yesterday (28th Dec) and this seems to be the only construction going on. The location is right in front of the 'Days Inn' Motel.

Not only is it at least two times cheaper for a full charge, but also two times faster since most SuC aren't V3 yet. And no overstay fee afaik.
