I haven't used any Ionity station since the end of January and am not planning to do so for a while.
Ionity have indeed shot themselves in the foot over this pricing. If they are going to do 'special deals' for some makes of cars then they are IMHO, in the same business of exclusivity as is Tesla. Why not let other EV drivers have a subscription that gets them the same rates as VAG Drivers?
Their markup is frankly obscene.
If no one uses their chargers then how long can they stay in business?

Their network is definitely now 'A charger of last resort'. When all else fails and Ionity is there, I'll use them but otherwise? No way Jose.

The Jaguar Public Charging app seems to be showing a fixed-rate of 8.80 EUR per charge. Has anyone here checked this? I've seen a person from Sweden in another thread stating that the app provided a fixed-rate charge.

And another member recommended Chargepoint. The app indicates a session charge of 7.54 EUR for Ionity chargers.

Great if these are true but a bit of a pain if I drive over there and I cannot get that rate...

Can anyone in the EU confirm regarding the above rates?

Ionity Network roll out status - Ionity is really behind their promise of 400 stations live by end of 2020.
6 months into the year they have done approx 50% of what they did in 2019 with still more than 100 new constructions to start and finish to reach 400 goal.

These rates have been confirmed directly with ChargePoint.

Sorry. Edited to change “confirmed with Ionity” to “confirmed with ChargePoint”.

I suspect these numbers were all pre-COVID and they need to be revised as a result.

I can't see them being able to roll out 400 stations in 1 year nor do I see the business case for doing so when there are still so many restriction on travel, and therefore, the primary use of their service.

I was hoping the Cullompton site would be finished as I wanted to try it on my hols this year.

I used the ChargePoint card on my recent journey from the UK to Denmark. I charged 5 times at Ionity charging points, in Belgium, Holland, Germany (2) and Denmark. The charges advertised of about €8 are correct. I paid a total of £37 for the whole journey of 780 miles

Thanks, that's good to know.
