Did you opt for a panoramic roof when you ordered?
Re: Did you opt for a panoramic roof when you ordered?
Based on all the responses, I am still on the fence, but overall I am still inclined to keep my MY21 HSE order as-is - i.e. without the pano roof. My only nagging thought is whether it would significantly affect ultimate resale value in a few years' time.
Re: Did you opt for a panoramic roof when you ordered?
I have wondered that as well. Neither Dashcam nor phone will get a GPS signal in the car.

Like my pano roof. Easy to clean as well compared to a huge painted panel. No bother in heat in the summer. Would have again.

Very content with the panoramic roof after 2 years. The children and other passengers love it (as a driver you don't experience it a lot), and I haven't experienced any hinder by highway lights, something that apparently some people may find disturbing, as my dealer told me at the time.

As a driver you have not much use of it, but in general i really like the glass ceiling, simply for it's esthetics. I also believe there is more head space and it gives more light in the interior, without being disturbing with sun or streetlights. Also like that it is a smooth hard surface, prefect for suction cup based racks, which are exchangeable with my F- pace also with glass roof.
That said I like the F-pace's version better because you can actually see through the glass roof and it has a curtain. The I-pace exchanged the curtain with a coating which makes it very reflective and almost impossible to see anything through it, particularly if you have a light interior. So much so that my teenage boy only after months realized it was glass.
None the less, I do not regret the choice.

Another vote for the pano roof. I love light interior in a car and the initial one we saw at the dealer launch event had the light interior and glass roof and lady wife loved it. About 6 months later, we arranged a test drive and we got one with black interior and no pano and lady wife thought it was 'orrible and did not want one! After the test drive drive I sat her in one in the showroom with the light interior and pano and the purchase was back on.
We have had no heat problems during the tropical splendour of an English summer. I have to admit it is more enjoyable in the back seat drivers and the grandkids love it. Also thought that no one buys an I Pace to save money and trying to move one onto the second owner night be more challenging if it did not have the pano roof - just look at the votes at the start of this thread to see how many choose the option.
I don't think it is pano or air suspension and HUD - just get the lot! The pano roof adds less than 1.5% to the car's cost - just avoid Gap Insurance to save money!

Or to put it another way, how many who paid lots of money for something of no value are going to say "What a mug I've been"electric beagle wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 7:52 amThe question you maybe should be asking is whether anyone with a Pano roof regrets it and wish they hadn't had it or would buy another iPace without it.rad wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:23 pmThanks for all the replies. It’s interesting that there seems to be a more negative than positive sentiment overall towards the pano roof. But maybe that’s generally coming from people who decided against it as an option, rather than having the roof and regretting it.
Those who didn't want one will of course tell themselves they made the right decision. Only you can say if you want one or not. The key data point for me if you are inclined to have a Pano roof would be how many owners regret buying one. I suspect the answer is zero.
"They are of course going to tell themselves they made the right decision" to quote the above.

Re: Did you opt for a panoramic roof when you ordered?
Judging by the responses, you're just as likely to find a buyer who's relieved to find a used i-Pace without one. and since you'll have paid less in the first place, any perceived reduction in value is illusory.
Just go with your own preference.
