Cool. See there are some compatibility issues still. Had some issues with AA earlier this year. Don't want to risk going without again, so will wait for a fix...

Compatibility issues:
Android 7.x / 8.x - Working on a fix
Oppo/Realme devices - Working on a fix
Android Auto 6.4+ and Android 11 - No fix for this.

Hi,

I have MY2019 I-pace with 9000km on odometer.

Today I installed ODB reader Torque Pro showed me values which got me worried.

average state of health 86.5%
capacity 74,4 kWh
state of charge 98.83%

Does it means 13.5% of capacity is lost already?

Whatcat shows optimized 100% and 85.75kWh when full.


What readings do you get?

Hi Norcis,

I am reading 94.5 rather consistently. It has been lower on occasion, so it does change.

Wattcat changes a lot as the SOC goes down. What do you read at a lower SOC?

What readings do you get?
No reason to panic, I have been logging the SOH for a long time now and I have no idea how this is calculated. On my car the SOH is between the low 80s and 96.5 and it seems to be related to driving style and temperature. I guess many short trips and frequent fast charging will lower the SOH as the battery cells might become unbalanced. Drive the batteries down to 10% and slow charge to 100% a couple of times to properly rebalance the cells.

IMHO, the best way to check battery capacity is to compare change in SOC with kWh spent. Beware that loss (a few kWh) in the battery due to internal resistance is not considered by the trip counter.

On my car the SOC is nice and linear except for the top and bottom of the SOC range.

The BMS' expectations depend on the weather and mysterious calculations...

To take away your concern, why don't you compare with the trip meter?
Driving 100km at 20kWh/100km means a consumption of 20kWh should be recorded.
If the decrease in reported capacity is 20kWh, you may have reason to worry. If it is more like 18kWh (as I expect), then you know your BMS is "a bit pessimistic today"...

With the current nice weather, SoH is quite stable around 96.5; but at one time in winter I had OBD reporting low 80 SoH as well. The consumption from trip meter consistently exceeded the reduction in SoC, so it was clearly a fluke. It took a software update to sort it out.

I performed several tests on the SOH values expressed by BMS.
IMHO this values express the need of the cells to be AC balanced so it goes down when a lot of DC charging are performed.
Try to charge EXCLUSIVELY on AC and try to use the 20-80 % range.
After a couple of cycle you’ll see that value increases.

> Is there a way to show the regenerated kWh of a trip? In more detail than the trip computer does?
> By default, Torque offers a series of performance measurements - 0-100, 1/4mile etc. They don't work for the I-Pace though. Was anyone more lucky with this? Always a good move to satisfy our inner juvenile spirit
> When the car is powered off, Torque no longer manages to connect to the OBD2 adapter. Power Cruisecontrol, on the other hand, still allows a connection no matter how long the car has been asleep... Is there a solution for that?

> When the car is powered off,.... should not be a difference from PCC, but it might be that PCC is polling more actively and keep the car awake, which is not a good thing.
I can wake up the OBD port through Torque.

Version 2.0 of the Torque Pro dashboard and PIDs for I-Pace 2019 EV400.

As per previous instruction, download, extract and copy the files in the extendedpids and dasboards folders of .Torque.

If you have your own dashboard please export it to save a copy:

Although you can add, I recommend to clear list, before you add a predefined list. This prevents duplications and hence conflicts.

Add predefined set: I-Pace 2019 EV400 ABRP v2.0
Import dasbiard: I-Pace 2019 EV400 ABRP v2.0

Key new to this version:
- auto hold
- air suspension height mode and measures.
- ABRP live data ready (more on that on another post).

Note: suspension measures include height and pressure. Height is a measure on the suspension, which I converted to an approximation of ground clearance. Obvious variations for each individual car and conditions should be considered.

You need to fix the misspelling of Suspension ACCESS Height. Too many 's's and not enough 'n's! ;)
