A GPS repeater in the aft spoiler left wing:

Take out upper cap left (T4K1752).
Drop the coax down to the flex tube and store the GPS Rx.
The tube need a small cut at the spoiler end (to be resealed).
Coax thru the flex tube, under the headlining, over the doors
to the front windscreen and to the overhead console.
Put the GPS transmitter under the headlining above the dashcam.

Power supply:
12V to Blackvue (aft fuse box or console loom).
USB 5V (the car USB or 12V to 5V converter).
Do you have any photos?

I know sometime ago some contributors to this forum had their dash cam fitted by Halfords. I have tried three branches and they have all told me that they are unable to fit them to all electric vehicles. I am not clever enough to fit it myself. Can anyone let me know if they have had one fitted by Halfords? Thanks.

Mount the front Dashcam directly below the cover behind the rear view mirror and route the cables under the cover, it pulls apart fairly easily, then NO ISSUES with GPS signal to Dashcam. I have installed 4 Thinkware Dual Dashcams, 1 Nextbase Dual and 1 Halo Pro Dual, all into I-Pace with no issues with GPS, 12v drainage or interference with other electronics like radio, etc. 😜👍

In my experience, the I-Pace is a pretty good faraday cage! Compared to my Evoque which allowed the GPS signal in without hindrance, the I-Pace is problematic because of the solar glass coating on the windscreen and panoramic roof. The Nextbase I had, did receive a very weak GPS signal which kept coming and going. Using the suggested GPS receiver I have not had that problem. I still have my Tomtom which shows the number of satellites received and without the GPS receiver, there were 3 maybe 4 satellites naturally and with the GPS receiver sometime up to 14!
I would say that was conclusive proof that any GPS signal that does find its way past the solar glass shield is pretty weak!
I wonder if the I-Pace without the panoramic roof has better GPS reception?

I notice none of the dashcams you have fitted have been the BlackVue variety! Many forum members favour the BlackVue dash cam because of size and style.
Incidentally mounting any dash cam below the rear view mirror puts it 'very' close to the illegal area in the driver's field of view!
The majority of dashcam manufacturers acknowledge this and suggest mounting it beside the rear view mirror on the passenger side.
There is a compromise of course!

Stay safe

Yes, mine, a Blackvue DR900S 2Ch, was fitted at their Poole, Dorset branch, in 2019. It was placed to the left of the mirror, but GPS reception is usually too poor to get a signal lock. Otherwise good results with a OBD port Conecta providing the power. It cuts off after 5 min in 'parking mode' and if set to continuous mode cuts power if it detects less than 12v at the OBD port.

I had mine fitted in July 2019 in North London Friern Barnet branch. BlackVue 2 channel and the chap did a cracking job for the £40 or so they charge for fitting and I was out in about 45 minutes.
