Would be nice to know what is involved as it takes such a long time. The dealer won't tell me.

Just had our 2 year old 1st Edition taken away by the AA. My wife came home at lunchtime and the car wouldn't change out of "Park". Finally managed to get it onto the drive and called Jaguar assist, the technician who came out said the fault codes indicated the actuator had failed and that it could happen whilst the car was being driven, hence the recovery truck to the dealer. Will know more tomorrow when I collect the courtesy vehicle.

My 2019 car has gone into the dealer today to investigate a water leak into the front boot. The service adviser said that they would also deal with H288 which is marked as a campaign for my car. I have had a follow up call to say that they will need the car for three days as they will be replacing the wiring loom. I am very pleased to hear that the wiring loom replacement is now a recall as, if this had not been done, I would be less likely to keep the car after the warranty expires in March 2022.

Very glad to hear about the wiring loom replacement, hopefully they are doing it to all H288 cars.

Mine is going in May for the Park Pawl recall and I've asked them to look at the wiring loom issue whilst the car is with them - hopefully now it will just be replaced.

Anyone know if all cars will get the loom replacement - is that what the Park Pawl mod is?

H288 on Topix. This is to replace the front wiring loom to prevent the defect gearbox fault. At the same time they inspect the Park Pawl Actuator plug and if it has corrosion on the pins the actuator is replaced. This is quite a job and involves removing the in car charger. Draining cooling fluid etc and rising the drive unit to gain access.

My car is now in service for this campaign, so I am guessing that this is the same as was posted on the US NHTSA site: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/ ... 4-0001.pdf back in August last year..
