If you're on iOS, I'd suggest you try out stopping the charging process using MyPace, if it fails, try again, and do not leave the app until the command is executed (it might take a while).
I've found that the MyPace App for IOS is excellent for stopping a timed charge. It's never not stopped the charge.
I'm on the Octopus Go tariff, and need to stop the charge around 4.30am from time to time.
However, as we're not doing much mileage these days, I've found that it's a lot easier to manage the timed charging. I usually plug in when the SoC drops just below 75%, and then let the timed charging do its thing, I'm not hung up about charging right up to 100%, nor if the charge goes past 4.30am.
I set up the timed charging as per Abu Dhabi Dude's YouTube video, and so far the timed charging has worked fine. Stop it at 4.30am if I wake up, or let it go to 100% if I don't!
18 months in, and I still really like the I-Pace. The addional apps like MyPace and the excellent Siri Shortcuts made by Abu Dhabi Dude are the icing on the cake for me.
I was worried at one stage that the I-Pace could have turned out to be a "White Elephant" in that it might have been discontinued after a few years, but the recent announcement from JLR has been very reassuring.
We took a chance and paid cash for our I-Pace, and luckily so far it's turned out great for us.
Kind regards,
Nigel
