MY21 2.0.8a update

Just jumped in my I Pace and it has an update to 2.0.8a P3AX

Is this new, or have the rest of you already got it?

Any idea what they fixed or broken?

Anyone know what it really does yet? I haven't noticed it yet but then again if it is like the 2.0.3 update with no notification you don't notice it until you see it when checking for updates.

Are you trying to make up for the tasteful darkness of your car by having the white screen Don't you think the dark screens look better?

Maybe its my oyster interior but I find the light screen way too harsh.

Back to the subject my worry is that they will have broken more than they fix

I've not changed the screen at all. And if I did it would probably forget that I changed it, just like it forgets my profiles

Usually with profile retention it is third time lucky with mine since 2.0.6 but looks like mine has updated to 2.0.8a too.

You can change to dark theme on the first setting screen try it and see how you find it. I definitely prefer it.

Jaguar technician here at Weekend to fix charging fault said that it is up to date and he didn't know why the version is blank.
He said that my vehicle is set up at Jaguar end to receive SOTA but that it can take days
I've now had the vehicle over two weeks and nothing
Dealer doesn't seem to have a clue either
Think I will just wait and see for a bit longer

If its not showing a version you are most likely not on the latest you are likely to be on the very first version which is riddled with issues, you are several versions behind but they need to be installed iteratively.

When the Jag techs plug the car in it says it is on the latest version even though it factually is not, I have seen this myself before 2.0.6 was applied. So the question to always ask is, "so tell me which version of the software I have since Pivi is not displaying it?".

I am not sure if a forced upgrade can be applied to Pivi equipped cars, I am beginning to suspect it cannot but would be good if anyone can confirm that they have had it done? You may be stuck waiting for each of the updates to install themselves but this is a deeply unsatisfactory experience given the scale of the initial bugs and that the updates should have been applied before the car ever left the factory.
