I know this may sound stupid but I am slightly confused with charging cables.
I am wanting to purchase a longer cable. I only have a single phase wallbox at home.
Although I don’t have a 3 phase supply at home, do I still need to buy a 3 phase cable for charging at charge stations? Will buying a single phase cable for home affect the speed of charge if used at charge stations?
Thanks.

Re: Charging cable
3 phase cable no help unless you have model year 2021 which can use 3 phase charging

Re: Charging cable
If you’re looking to extend the “granny charger” cable then all you need is a really high quality standard 13A extension lead that is rated for high loads, so a minimum of 1.5mm per core (16A rated). I bought a 10m extension from Industrial Extension Leads and used it often when visiting friends and relatives with no issues at all. This is the one I use: https://www.industrialextensionleads.co ... 0269-p.asp
One thing to note is do NOT ever use such an extension when it’s coiled or looped, because the high currents can cause induction which leads to overheating, so make sure the lead excess just lays randomly on the floor. Please also be aware the granny charger is not actually recommended for use with extension leads, this is possibly because it has a safety device that senses the plug temperature to cut power if the 13A wall socket it’s plugged into is overheating. So, always be vigilant if using an extension cable.
