SonicTPA, TU_STATUS_HW_VERSION is much higher up the list of TU parameters.

Re: SOTA Update Infotainment S20C xxxxx
Thanks, I’ve found it.
I thought it might have been there and looked higher up originally and still managed to miss it!
My versions are the same as the previous post for 16.2 and 20C.
Re: SOTA Update Infotainment S20C xxxxx
Yes they finally fix it. On their first attempt, they replaced the front camera and also found that the left camera had an issue (I never saw any issue on left camera) and they replaced it too. They did this even if I told them to simply upgrade the Image processing module. When I picked up the car, the problem was not fixed, same blurry image, two new cameras...

Re: SOTA Update Infotainment S20C xxxxx
So I picked my car this morning, with a brand new TCU module (the old one was stuck with a non functioning SIM card, no Wifi, ..., even with a 19.2 software on it). The value areLobster wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:24 amHi dernotte, My (reformatted) parameters using your Link

TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_MAIN________ J8A2-70712-AY
TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_SECONDARY_J8A2-70712-BY
It could be interesting to see what TU_STATUS_HW_VERSION others have.
I had SOTA downloads for 19.2 & S20C several days ago.
Bootup to show Nav Screen & WiFi Icon takes only 20 seconds from an overnight sleep and the same time for a reboot after a 1 minute sleep.

TU_STATUS_HW_VERSION_______________J8A2-70719-FG (I guess this is because my TCU module is a brand new one, latest version of hardware, this will never change with SOTA...

TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_MAIN________ J8A2-70712-AY
TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_SECONDARY_J8A2-70712-BY
I am convinced that there is multiple hardware versions of the TCU in the field, and my previous one was quite old (bought in Nov 2018) and it was not exposing its version number, so maybe the JLR server was not able to figure out if an update was required or not.

Re: SOTA Update Infotainment S20C xxxxx
Just booked for November 24th a visit to the dealer as my Tcu is not getting any update. I explained the problem and they first checked on Topix where it turned out its not showed the Tcu software version. They told me to bring the car in as it's likely impossible that the car will ever receive a sora for the tcu under this condition.

Re: SOTA Update Infotainment S20C xxxxx
Pretty sure this is a known limitation, but can't be overcome because the car's API isn't passing a value that allows the app to distinguish between 18.2 and 19.2. I believe the app has to "impute" it based on various parameters of the API, rather than querying the version number directly.

Got my update after manually searching this morning. Was stuck on January software up until now.

Here is the Technical Bulletin for the H295. It looks more like a bug fix rather than an improvement in charging speed or power.FENorway wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 9:43 amNone of these will change charge rate.Wasabi Pea wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 9:17 amYes I got the email a few days ago and mine only updated last night too (UK), but I was surprised that it was only TCU update to 19.2, whereas the infotainment s/w has stayed at 20B, I thought it was supposed to happen the other way around.
I would be very interested to hear if anyone sees a difference in maximum charging rates after the update.
But 19.20 will enable the car to receive updates which can change battery charging logaritms.
The recently released H295 is possibly the one.
Interesting note in this bulletin:
This bulletin does not apply to any vehicles already registered and in use, either with the retailer
or customer. Any vehicle already in use may continue to be driven and any repair instructions
will be communicated through a separate bulletin.
So this is only the instruction to update new cars at the dealer site prior to sale.
