Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
I would try running it low (10% or less) and then charge it up (maybe even at a reduced charge rate or with a granny charger if you can find a long period when you don’t need the car). Charge it right up to full and leave it plugged in until the car completes balancing the cells. Maybe even do that 2 or 3 times if you can. You may find that recovers some kWh for you. Made a big difference with mine.
Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
I had a similar energy reading when my car had a module replaced. Following similar to ADD’s method, a couple more kWh was showing on the estimated energy. Enjoy having to drive it a few times to use up the juice.

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
Thanks for your answers. Actually I notice a fluctuation in wattcat optimization between 90 and 96, is this the case with most cars? If I do the slow-charge-from-10% trick, should I expect that this fluctuation will stop? What is the experience of other owners here?
And does the hazard lights on trick actually work?

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
For those who’ve been through cell failure, how low is the capacity when you lose a cell? MyPace regularly shows 100% at around 74kW for me, which seems neither high enough to be OK nor low enough to be an actual issue?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
Not sure if you’ve got a cell failure but 74kWh seems a bit on the low side, I regularly get around 83kWh at 100% on MyPace. Be interesting to know what other folk on the forum get?

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
With a cell failure, you will lose the whole string, until the failed cell is replaced.
Once repaired, the battery will need a couple of cycles to recover its total overall capacity.
Charging slowly and leaving it on charge to balance will bring back some capacity, the granny charger is ideal for this.

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
When mine had a cell failure, the estimated energy was around 62KWh with 150 miles range driving Miss. Daisy. This is around 25% down on full, showing the string being inoperative.
74% is hopefully to do with balancing?

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
Did a granny charge from 6% all the way up uninterrupted and MyPace now showing 81.4kWh so thanks for the tip! Interestingly guess-o-meter still shows exactly the same mileage so the car must know it’s always been right.
Watching it run during Octopus Agile peak period was agony though

Re: Reduced battery capacity to 64kWh
Just got mine back after a 7 week wait. Dealer did not identify problem on first visit, despite ‘full diagnostics’ test, which did NOT include a capacity test they told me.
Had to supply months of charge data to prove my point; ie typical range 150miles, would not charge much beyond 50kwh, etc.
Second visit, which took 7 weeks, resulted in 1 module replaced and a pressure test that revealed a need to reseal the whole battery frame.
