Who has TCU Software 19.2 already?

Post by CaptainJAG » Wed Sep 16, 2020 3:20 pm

I dropped my I-Pace at the dealer today to update my software... hoping for a unlimited DC Charging and unrestricted SOTA Access

Dealer told me, they tried to update a car on Monday, but no 19.2 available here in Germany.

He showed me the Dealer Page for SOTA:

there is a main „Switch“ for SOTA, which is turned on.

There are 3 „Switches“ for:

Infotainment SOTA, which is turned on (also shows the installed and available Softwareversion)

TCU Updates, which is turned on and also shows installed and available Software version... but the car is not even looking for updates ... not available is the message in the car.

BEMCS Updates, which is greyed out and not available yet...

I hope they can improve Software by the Pathfinder System in the shop 😎

My question so far:

Who already has TCU 19.2 Software installed in the car? And from which country do you come (or drive the car).

Thanks for you replys.

BR

I do not have it in the USA. My dealer has assured me that SOTA is turned on for my vehicle.

Thank you for starting this topic.

I'm in the UK, I have 18.2. I've tried the update to 19.2 in the car, it says: Update not available, immediately. That's different from when I check for Infotainment updates when it says: Software is up to date, after checking for some seconds. I think my car can't check for TCU update.

From a post ADD provided, it implies BECM SOTA updates are enabled by the TCU 19.2 upgrade, and then the BECM update will give the extra charging speed.

For anyone who has 19.2, could you please say how you got it?
At last I have my i Pace SE Firenze Red. Ordered 28th Feb, arrived 29th July. Broke 2nd August  Back on the road again 7th August :D

I’m still on 14.2 - no idea how to upgrade it. The dealer steadfastly ignores my request to bring the software up to date. That said, I can’t see what difference this all makes? What am I missing with 14.2?

You are missing a lot of improvements regarding stability of the whole car system, also the empty 12V battery topic and the failure of infotainment & climate control (black screen)
You should try another dealer 😉

This USA user provided a link to prove that SOTA for 19.2 was happening, even though Jaguar denied TCU updates via SOTA were possible in a response to me two days ago:

I'm still on 16.2, (UK) which was in the car on delivery at the end of Jun '19, but the car hasn't seen a dealer since Feb 10th when it had the H264 H270 updates at the same time as a puncture repair. Like Wasabi Pea, I just get an instantaneous "no update available" message without any appreciable attempt to check.

Looking forward to free motoring. (barring the cost of all the kit !)
