Is pre-conditioning the same as remote climate?

In the I-Pace itself it is fairly easy to pre-condition the car for the battery and climate to be ready for a journey as long as it is 30 mins or so in the future. However the Jaguar remote app doesn't seem to have a pre-condition facility to allow this to be set although it does have a remote climate setting.

It isn't clear if setting that also pre-conditions the battery temp - I suspect not. Can anyone confirm this? I would have expected to be able to pre-condition remotely - maybe I'm missing something.

It could be just my car, but the pre-condition in car doesn’t rise the temperature in the battery much. Mine went from 15C to 17C (yes my car was connected to charger and at 100%). My car actually heat my battery better just by charging. This means it’s better to not be at 100% charger when departure. Best thing is to try and time it, start charging at a time so that the car gets close to 100% when I’m departing. Workshop is clueless, but they usually are, so no surprise there 🤷‍♂️😱
