In my experience it’s a bad idea to rapid charge in this temperature early in the morning on. Cold battery. If I have a chance I would always charge after driving. At least so much that I can go off in the morning to get a little bit of heat in the battery.
Atm with -10degrees it’s hard enough but I don’t have to use rapid charging atm.
I had the impression that it’s slow on cold temperatures if I use hpc with 350kw. Sometimes it would be faster to use the 50kw chargers. I prefer 150kw chargers but the charging overall has been unstable for me. I have everything from 108kw to 35kw at the same soc and the same Charger, making it hard to plan the trips with it. But I only picked up the car in December and it has been cold ever since.

How cold the temperature actually was? I've noticed that a battery need to be over 20C to take max charge. In a cold day battery temp is dropping during driving steady. Like I start from my warm garage and battery temp is 15C. It drops down to 7-8C during a drive. If you don't warm up, then 50kW charging warms it up about 1 degree/min so it takes 15min before you can get full charge. But you can warm battery before entering to a charging station by accelerating/slowing maneuvers. I tried it one day accelerating up to 100km/h and then with high Regan slowed down to 50km/h on a quiet road. Battery warms up 1degree/km so you need to do that long way if you want to have your battery in optimal temp for charging.

About Tesla, it can warm it's battery if your destination is set to Super Charger station so it's optimal for charging. JRL should make that possible to I-Pace too, preferable just a switch you can turn heating on, much easier that way.

I rather cry in Jaguar than in Tesla

This is one of the aim of investigating PIDs over OBD port. It could be possbile, in theory, to send the command to activate battery preconditioning to the right ECU from the OBD2 port. Not yet to that point though ...

I-Pace is not set up to heat cabin and battery at the same time, put it to charge, turn off the car and walk away.

All gone quiet on the charging upgrade front. Are we still expecting any improvement?

I have given up all hope for any upgrade for MY19, certainly since the new CEO seems to be wrecking Jaguar.

Seems only way is downhill with slowly degrading battery, glitching software, wear/tear with age.
I am half way through my lease and think my battery is at approx 95% of original max.

i am hoping when Power checK Control aka PCC (Not you is it?), manage to sort out the funnies with iOS they are having, that I'll be able to do this amongst other things.

Stay safe

I think it is time for a class action suit to move things along. Jaguar advertised 0-80% in 40 minutes which requires 102kw AVERAGE charging rate. There are damages incurred every time any one of us uses a high speed L3 and wastes time and pays extra for charging speed that is not accepted by the car. In North America the Electrify America/Canada network bills us at the 90-350kw rate because the car communicates that it wants over 100kw but then only actually allows under 100kw. Infuriating.

0-80% is a new one on me, most manufacturers would say up to 80% in 40 mins and cover themselves

I am in favor in a class action suit. I have plenty data available to proof that the I Pace can not charge 100 kW.
