Getting closer....

Post by MvM » Sat May 23, 2020 10:18 am

This month I am driving less on the highway and using more secondary roads, taking it easy, enjoying the weather and scenery and am generally trying to get a low consumption.

Last night I charged my car to 100% SoC again and the results are promising:

My I-Pace GOM is now showing a range of 454 km (283 miles) on a full charge. That's 96.6% of the official WLTP figure.

WattCat is also telling me nice things, seems I now have 85.5 kWh at my disposal.

To get to those actual 454 km, I would need to get an average of 18.83 kWh/100 km (or 30.13 kWh/100 miles).
This month, so far, my actual usage has been even lower than that.

I really am enjoying this car!

Well done MvM, encouraging results for sure, only wish we could actually get some mileage in with our cars over here. :)

Great result - in case you have the same software issue I have than I am sorry to inform you that you will not get higher than 454km on GOM.

It seems the maximum the car is willing to display despite my recent efficiency numbers as well as km per SoC % on recent longer trips indicating above 500km range.

Hi Jelle,

Great to hear you are also getting the same long range displayed on the GOM.
And thanks for the update on the possible software glitch. Would be a shame actually if the GOM will not display any higher numbers.

Not sure yet how my car will do, I guess I will find out in the next few weeks if the weather stays the same.

Will keep you updated.

So far I have driven 2,097km in May with avg speed of 68.6km/h and efficiency of 163wh/km yet as per my earlier post GOM only shows 454km.

Maybe pay attention to GOM when you drive away - check how far you drove before it starts to decline. Earlier this month I drove nearly 20km before GOM started to decline.

See below picture taken just before I exited the highway showing GOM at 262km and trip distance 210km, so together 472km and actually 478km as my car records 3% less km.
