So excited

Post by MikeSL1 » Fri May 15, 2020 9:13 pm

Up until the last update my range was stated as 201 then after the update it increased to 221 and since the arrival of warmer weather it has increased which each charge to 240, 245, 250 and then today I started off at 259
The exciting part is that I did 70 miles today and the range showed I had 195 left which is 6 miles more than I started with. Can you believe it !!!!!!!
This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I normally lose about 6 miles of the first 20 for each trip
Who knows if the weather stays warm I might get up to the WLTP stated range 279 or whatever it is. It is so long ago that since I looked, it has subconsciously escaped my memory banks, or perhaps I intentionally tried to wipe it form my memory

The thing that I missed most during the lock down, was driving the I-pace, it is like falling in love all over again

Yes, I’ve seen a much better range improvement than I expected since the weather warmed up. Way better than last summer. H264 was a huge success from my perspective.

Yes, I’ve been working right through lockdown as normal, so I’m still using the car most days. My mileage has still dropped as I’m obviously not doing any pleasure driving, but not as low as most people because I’ve still been doing my regular commute. Been interesting to watch my consumption figures during the rising (and sadly falling again) temperatures lately.

Similar experience here (Netherlands).

In April, my consumption had already dropped considerably. This month, it's even better. I do indeed drive less than I would normally do, but the I-Pace has not been idle. With weather improving, very little wind over the last few weeks and no traffic jams to get stuck in, I have focused on driving the car at a leisurely pace whenever time permits.
Last Friday, after charging to 100% SoC, my indicated range was 437 km (273 miles) at 20:30 hours, which is when I left to visit my GF & kids.
Today, just an hour ago, I arrived back home, and the total of the indicated range + km driven over the weekend and today was 441 km (275 miles).

Power consumption over the whole month of May so far has been 18.7 kWh/100 km (29.9 kWh/100 miles). Will try to get the range up to 450 km :D

Compared to last winter I'm seeing the improvements of the H264 better now with 10-15 degrees than I did at sub zero. The drop in consumption was hard to notice here in Norway in January/February, but now its way better. Of course compared to similar temperatures pre H264.

First post so hi to everyone.

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice or comment on whether they have similar issues. Months ago after fighting to persuade my dealer that the H264 update actually existed, I initially got computer says no! The car want into have other work carried out and to have H264 installed. I didn't notice any difference and wasn't confident that it was.

Four months ago again it went in to have other work and I asked them to check if the H264 had been installed for the above reason. This time they assured me it had now been done. To my amazement the ave mile went up from 211 to 258 but almost immediately dropped to 201 and has been that ever since. Even the recent warm weather hasn't affected it.

I should be grateful for some advice as I do not know whether the dealer is poor or something else is wrong.

Much appreciated

The range of 201 is showing up quite a lot as a friend of mine was also being shown 201

It is as if the range indicator is pre-set which brings about the thought; supposing I run the car till it is flat, what would the true range be

Last year I was struggling to charge at main motorway service stations as the charge points did not like Jaguars and I ran for 20 miles beyond zero and it did not run out before I got to a Holliday Inn where it was possible to charge the car

Hi all
I've had my iPace since mid-Jan, but like many of us am now locked down in the UK and unable to go far with it...great shame as I love it!

What is H264 mentioned in this thread? I guess it's some software or firmware update. I didn't realise the updates were supposed to improve the range..I thought it was mainly cosmetic and delivered small changes to eg InControl.

Please advise: How do I check which version I have, if I need to update how do I do so and what differences can I expect to see?

Many thanks.
