The prices shown in the UK are frankly a rip off.
For example, the Engenie charger in Church Road Fleet.

Jaguar Charging App : £0.48/kWh
Zap Map Details : £0.36/kWh contactless.

Why would anyone use it?

Driving "Hirundo Rustica" since 15th Mar 2019. Lovely Jubbly :D :D

I have had a couple of charges at Gretna using the Ionity App where I was never billed.
That’s what I thought in respect of two charging sessions in mid January. Got the bill this week!
it’s here! Arrived 29.04.19, HSE, MY20, Caesium Blue, tan interior, black bits

I dodged a fee at Ionity Milton Keynes (after getting hit with a £48 bill on the way down) because my cable got stuck and even the emergency release (top right red wire under bonnet) wouldn’t work.

After calling support and 30 mins of charger reboots , finally got the cable released and they offered me a free charge on another station which I heartedly took advantage of.

Will avoid in future due to the extortionate profiteering.
“Mjölnir” delivered May 2019. MY20 i-Pace SE Corris Grey, 20” wheels, oyster interior and liner, no pano roof, gesture tailgate. 18D, 14.2 telematics.

Re: Jaguar Public Charging app and Ionity Pricing

I regularly drive to Czech and last year I used the I Pace. Coming back using Ionity cost me less than 50 EUR. That made the additional four hours somewhat bearable.

ABRP now shows a cost of around 220 EUR for the same journey due to the insane cost increase imposed by Ionity.

I've registered on the Jaguar Public Charging App and it seems to indicate that it would provide fixed-rate charging for 8.80 EUR at Ionity chargers, whereas the best that PlugSurfing offer directly is a reduced charge of 0.34 EUR per kWh for the same location.

If it's going to cost over 200 EUR each way then I'd rather take my petrol car, which would be far more fun (especially on the Autobahn), at least four hours quicker and quite a bit cheaper.

Good info....Other than Ionity, are there any other networks where it's possible to get a fixed rate charge?

I'd like to hear from anyone who has tried the Jaguar Public Charging app in EU countries recently to confirm that they did get the 8.80 EUR fixed charge. If there are others as well then great.

I don't want to get into Europe and find it's going to cost more than that...

That's encouraging - pretty much the same price.
