I ordered my new factory built car early January with a predicted delivery in March, asking the dealer yesterday for an update that has been put back to May.
Has anyone else had this long delay, or any feedback why?.
Just called the dealer as I placed order early Feb then was given date for first wk May now they are saying estimated mid to end June and to be fair to the dealer I don't think Jaguar really know with all the problems with the virus etc

Almost all companies that work on a global basis are hit by the effects of COVID-19.

Even Microsoft...yes, those renowned makers of smartwatches and smart speakers (they were specifically quoted along with laptops which you can understand) have said that income will be hit by the virus.
Quite how MS has suddenly become very dependent upon shipments and sales of smart (insert 4letter word of choice here) ???? is beyond me. There again, I'm just a GOM (Grumpy Old Man) so what do I know eh?

Just had another month added to the delay for my vehicle ordered in November. It’s now Late May and for the first time no specific date. Basically 6 months wait so far. Might get it by Xmas at this rate.

I ordered mine 2nd December and was told end 29th Feb. Took delivery on Monday which was within days of the prediction. So maybe this car squeaked in before whatever supply problem struck or maybe my dealer was realistic in the first place. It's not uncommon for car salesman to tell customers what they want to hear!

Anyway, as no doubt most of you have done already, I'm gradually figuring out how it works. Mostly it makes sense but the manual is pretty unhelpful even to point of silence on important questions like how to stop the tailgate going too high and when the brake lights come on.

I haven't had to face the challenge of a long trip yet. With all the war stories about chargers I'm not really looking forward to this.
