yep. I rented a Thule Cargobox for another trip some months ago, though the main disadvantage of that particular Thule product is that the carrier doesn’t tilt, so access through the tailgate is compromised.

Jaguar should have done a ski hatch at least.
Missing it from my previous car.

So, I did some research at the weekend.

The I-Pace has a very short roofline. If I set a 2000mm ski box forward of the opened boot then it will hang out way over the windscreen. The position of the roof bars and design of the boxes seems to permit this.

Has anyone used a ski box? What size and how did it look?

I have a Packline NX215 (212cm internal length) mounted as far back as it will go on the standard roof rack, which still keeps it nicely clear of the opened boot. I was worried that it'd stick out too far in front, but you can't really tell it's there when you're in the driver's seat and it doesn't look bad from the outside. ...well, no worse than any other ski box, anyway.

Packline have some photos of an I-Pace with their NX Premium model here: https://www.packline.no/car-brand/jaguar/. The roof rack bars actually go through the body on that model, so it looks a bit less "on stilts" than mine does. Mine is similar to the one they put on the F-Pace on that page.

no pictures, but recently used a Hapro Carver 8.4 (40 x 90 x 215) without problem. Rear was about 2-3 cm in front of tailgate when lifted. I’m guessing it would fit skis up to about 2m, so plenty adequate for modern skis......

Thank you for the advice. and steer to Packline.

In the UK, Thule is the main brand. However, I have found a Packline seller and ordered the NX195 box - small Scottish people don't need very long skis! Will post a picture once I have it on the car.

That is a really sleek looking roof box, really suits the I-Pace well.
Was it the Roof Box company that you went to AGT?

Malcolm, yes it was. They also sell the NX Premium model which is on the I-Pace in the photo shoot. I decided to go for the smaller and cheaper NX195.

Packline NX195 box fitted yesterday. I am impressed with the rigidity and overall quality. It does not dwarf the car which would easily have taken the longer but lower profile NX215

You may be more efficient if you turn the roof box round?? worth a try. May not look as good though.
