Regarding alloy wheels

Post by Subie » Thu Nov 21, 2019 10:17 pm

Hi guys,

I have a quick question I’ve been looking to get some after market alloy wheels (I’m not really good with all this car stuff to be honest) I wanted to know will this size fit 285 x 35 x R22

I couldn't say if those tyres would fit within the wheel arches but keep in mind that tyres that wide will increase the cars rolling resistance and reduce your range very noticeably. Also I would check with your insurance company because they would see this as a modification and would adjust your premium accordingly.

Thank you for the heads up what kind of tyres would you recommend with 22” alloys?

Personally I would stick with the standard size (255/40/R22) with the correct speed and load rating. The I-Pace is a heavy, performance car and Jaguar will have chosen those tyres following a lot of testing. I believe even the E-Trophey cars have standard tyres.

Hi.
Hopefully you won't have any issues with your insurer if you wish to update your wheel but if you do need any assistance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.
