Had the car just over 2 months and 2000 miles.
GOM was pretty good for the first 2 weeks, then the 201 bug appeared.
After 700 miles did the reset and all good, and no change after the recent software update.
Just this week it appears that 201 has re-appeared again. Cannot be certain but range has dropped and a % and range extrapolation indicates 201 again.
Doing a full charge tonight to check.
Anyone se had 201 twice?
Range Decline Following In Control Update
Re: Range Decline Following In Control Update
Chewy, I normally accept what you write as gospel but I suspect you may have missed the key point here:Chewy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:52 pmPersonally I totally ignore the GOM. Jaguar has tried to be too clever with it and caused many an owner sleepless nights with its numbers.
You say you were getting mid 30s and now it is colder you are getting 43kWh/100miles. Based upon 35kWh/100miles and you current figure of 43kWh/100miles, this suggests a 22% reduction in range. I would suggest that there is nothing unusual about this. I see a drop of 20% in range with my I-Pace from summer to winter. From 28kWh/100miles in the summer, to 34kWh/100miles in the winter. Don't worry about my figures being different to yours, it is the percentage difference that is the meaningful value.
Forget about my summer range of 240 plus miles on 100% charge, last winter I was getting 220/230 miles on 100% with consumption in the mid to late 30's kWh/100 miles and now, with similar or slightly higher temperatures to my last winter driving in January-March 2019, the GOM is showing a never-before-seen 186 miles on 100%, and consumption is in the high 40's. This is as near a like for like comparison in terms of temperature, driving style and route as can be seen in a non scientific, non lab, non controlled situation of every day ownership and driving, and this is why I am worried.

New to the Forum, owned SE since Mar 19. Never come close to reported 280 mileage started at 230 and now down at 201. Appreciate the winter effect but am a little unsettled. Car was called back earlier in.the yr but nothing since. What is the GOM that I see reference.

Stuck at 325km for a couple of days now. How do I reset the GOM?

Re: Range Decline Following In Control Update
Hi All,
I'm not too sure if this has been mentioned before, but I think I've realised what the 201 mile limit relates to, at least for me.
I rarely seem to reach lower consumption than ~45KwH/100 miles, mainly because I commute to work on motorways and at ~75mph
Because of this when I fully charge the car it always says 201 miles, unless I reset the GOM. Then low and behold, over the next week or so the GOM goes back to 201 miles despite the fact that in reality I'm only getting about 160-180 miles of range.
Does that make sense?
