WattCat - InControl remote app for Android
Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android
I finally had my TCU software updated to 19.2 today, but noticed that the info page on WattCat still shows J8A2-70712-AS (14.2). Is this a known issue with the Jaguar API, or do I have something configured incorrectly?
This is such a great app--thanks for making it available to the community!

Hi!
It's not for your vehicle specifically I'm afraid. It's more a reference of known software updates available for I-Paces in general

S20C1 and any update with similar number (S20A, S20B, S19C and so on) are for the "old" Touch Duo IMC. As you have a MY21 with Pivi Pro IMC those updates are not applicable for your car.Scoobs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 11:07 pmHi, First let me thank @Ardevd for all the work on this wonderful app.
My first question is about the list of Software Updates on the Vehicle details screen - is this supposed to be the software updates to my specific vehicle, or updates available to any i-pace? I had assumed it was for my vehicle, but the latest update shown in the list is IMC S20C1_20.48.3-635557 with a date of 14 December 2020, but I had two updates after that, one required me to approve the installation, and the second was auto installed. The dashboard shows latest software as OS 2.0.8a P3AX installed 13th of Feb

Hmm, are you sure there are any data points for that logging session? Not seeing any issue here on my end.

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android
Very impressed with WattCat but just one question. I wonder why it chooses to show the Aux Battery voltage and not the main battery, l gather the Main Battery is more crucial (ie car dead if discharged or faulty) but also MY21 cars only appear to have one battery and the app always shows 0.0 volts for Aux Battery.
MY21 HSE Indus Silver, Light Oyster interior, Charcoal Ash Trim, Air Suspension, Active Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics, Fog Lights. Very satisfied so far.

ardevd, I am appreciating your efforts to improve and add features to Wattcat.
For some months? my Wattcat Widget has been erratic, the SOC % & Range Km Data fields are blank. The graphic symbols ( Power plug, Car & Refresh ) are displayed OK
After each Wattcat update I have to delete the widget and replace it on my phone screen, as the widget will not update automatically.
Touching the Widget Refresh symbol does not do anything, but touching the Widget SOC % or Range Km shortcuts will activate the Wattcat App.
I have to open and refresh various Wattcat app Tabs, re-checking the widget each time. Eventually the widget will display the data fields correctly.
Does the widget require the Wattcat app to be running continuously to be able to display the Data fields?
Do you have any suggestions for me? My phone is running Android v8.0.0 with no other app problems.
Cheers, Steve

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android
The reason is that the API simply does not provide any data for the high voltage battery voltage.Jabberwock wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:38 amVery impressed with WattCat but just one question. And yes, unfortunately the API also does not provide sane values for the aux battery voltage for MY2021 vehicles.
Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android
That's very strange. The widget is separate from the main app just like all other Android widgets are. Im afraid I've never experienced what you're describing but I'll look into it and see what I can findLobster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 2:57 amardevd, I am appreciating your efforts to improve and add features to Wattcat.
