Congrats! If you plan to use Scotland’s public charging network (ChargePlace Scotland) I’d recommend watching my video about the different chargers. Sorry for the shameless plug, but you will honestly find it helpful. If you’ll just be charging at home then don’t bother!

This is probably the most relevant one that contains the info you would need (there are many many many demonstration videos too).

We’ll save the congratulation until you collect your car but when you do and it is back home, do take some pictures and post it on this thread.

ADD’s videos are very good so do have a look at them for hints and tips. Also Garryjw has a good video collection for things to know about the I-Pace.

Whatever you do, don’t look at people who are reviewing the car for a day and then finish off with incorrect judgments about what it means to have an I-Pace.

Hang on, you've had 5 Jaguars consecutively (I'm only on my 4th!) and you call yoursefl Crazymind? You sound eminently sensible to me. ;)

I heard rumours of a loyalty scheme where if you purchased/owned 8 Jag in a row, then you were contacted by jaguar, taken to one of their VIP experience days and given a huge discount on your 9th Jag as a way of saying thank you.... ;)

I wonder if you'll be able to find out if the myth is true??

Let’s see how good the Ipace will be first...
The 4 Jag I had they all earned that place in my driveway: beautiful, comfy, well refined, fast and pleasant to drive. Nonetheless very reliable (I must be very lucky) .

Either that or a connoisseur of when to buy and (more importantly) when to sell your Jags :-)

There is a lot of noise around about EV and how good Tesla is. Good for Tesla.
To me difference between the 2 is when you seat on the Ipace it feels a special place where to spend time.
Tesla design makes me feel anxious ..and that boring look...

Hi,
I just picked up my I-Pace on Monday. First drive in it was from dealership in Central London all the way back up to Glasgow. I had never even sat in one before! Non-existent handover and traffic wardens were looming so I had to just get in and drive away. It was 29 degrees and I couldnt take my eyes off the road to start the AC - ended up putting the heated seats on - brilliant!
A few early observations:
1) it's fantastic and gets a lot of admiring looks
2) despite having done a fair amount of charging research on this site, I was still a novice at the whole charging game and was under time pressure for my journey back. I kept on finding the cable was locked in despite having stopped charging until I realised you have to press unlock on the fob or door handles. I dont think my charging was very efficient on the cost front except for the chargepoint card that I used on the Ionity charger at Gretna services.
3) infotainment is actually pretty easy despite seeming very complicated at first. Easy to sync phone and set-up Incontrol account.
4) I bought a 128GB Sandisk USB 3.0 stick and put a load of lossless music on it. It can't read it - seems to be a very common problem. I'll work it out in the fullness of time
5) Be careful to properly coil up and stow the cables below the height of the seal in the front trunk to stop it blocking when closing the front lid.
6) The handling for a heavy car is really impressive, mine has 20inch wheels on standard suspension.

loads more that I can't remember right now. I'm really excited for you for your imminent arrival.
