High Peak electric newbie

Post by Spudulikeit » Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:51 pm

Hi I’m new to driving electric so will lean heavily on those of you with experience. After a lifetime of mostly driving Land Rovers and Range Rovers I’ve given up putting £90 in the tank every week.

Congratulations! £90 would do me for 4 months in the iPace, so you’ll definitely see a massive difference assuming you have home charging. Even if you don’t, you’ll still see a difference.

Welcome to the forum and to that of the I-Pace.
I remember the days of £90.00 fillups when I owned a Saab 95 Estate. Strange how time changes you. I bitched a bit at a £14.34 charge on Instavolt the other week.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I’m certainly already noticing the plummet in costs of running the IPace.
I keep looking for other ipaces in our area but it seems we are a rare breed. I REALLY don’t understand why.

We used to live in Macclesfield, and I had a job which entailed driving from home to Rotherham, and then back to the office in Manchester.

I used to drive up and down Winnets Pass regularly in a MG Midget. The I-Pace would have been much more comfy!

Happy days!

Kind regards,
Nigel

Have to breath in a bit more often doing Winnats in iPace than MG though...

Ah I had a midget too albeit I didn’t do Winnats in it. I would t have thought the ipace was an obvious successor to it. The only common denominator with mine in the colour ( roughly!) . No flies between your teeth thankfully.
