Hello

Post by TonyT » Wed May 15, 2019 8:30 am

Traded in my F Pace (which i loved) a couple of weeks ago for the I Pace S. Totally standard other than metallic paint which the dealer gave for free.
I drive my wifes Audi Q3 which was slightly lighter than my F Pace around town. I drove the Q3 at the weekend and it felt like a tank compared to my I Pace. Happy days. I don't know what the rest of you are achieving but on my normal routes I am getting 10 miles for around .8 of a KWH. Maths is not my subject but I am getting a mile for a penny as i charge at home with electricity at 13p per KWH. This car is an absolute no brainer.

Welcome Tony, a great choice of car, (World Car of the Year!) it gets better and better the more you drive it. BTW, I use Octopus Energy and can charge overnight for 5p per Kwh, they give you 4 hours at that rate overnight, (00.30 to 04.30) might be worth you looking at it, its about 15p/Kwh daytime.

There is a thread on here all about Octopus if you want to consider it. I have been with them for about 4 months now and cannot fault them.

£50 for each of us if you do move to them using the link below :D

Anyway, enjoy the car, had mine just over three weeks now and still finding excuses to go for a drive

Welcome to the I-Pace.

You now have the best fully electric powered car on the planet :-) Jaguar has many awards for I-Pace to stand this as true.

You may get some issues, as with all completely new cars, but the I-Pace stands head and shoulders above anything available today.

Erm, sorry for being a pedant (am a forensic accountant 🤓) but maths is my thing and 10 miles on 0.8 kWh would mean a range of around 1000 miles from 80 kWh and nearly four times as good as everyone else is managing. Which seems a tad unlikely 🤪.
it’s here! Arrived 29.04.19, HSE, MY20, Caesium Blue, tan interior, black bits

Welcome TonyT!

I hope you actually are getting a 1000+ mile range! I suspect your calculations might have been done from a 100% charge. If so there's a 'hidden' couple of kWhs above the 100% state of charge readout. I tend to get about 8 miles from my first 1% (or 0.8kWh).

Oop north. You are correct. I think its a malfunction on the trip computer. This morning my first trip was 16 miles for .3KWH. Yet the range on my car went down by 15 miles, the green car thingy showed me using up 2% of my battery. I think i will trust the range figures. Is anyone else seeing these figures

Anorak. You must be right, although my return trip exactly the same showed the same figures. It could possibly be that with a full charge it was only showing 248 miles and it could have some hidden ones
