Baggy I-Pace seat

Post by baz99 » Tue Feb 05, 2019 2:38 pm

The drivers seat on my First Edition I-Pace has been baggy since I took delivery. The dealer has tried "finessing" the seat but now its even worse. Has anyone else had this problem? Don't expect this on an £80,000.00 car!

The other seats in my car are all firm as is the driver seat in the showroom car.... seems like there is a manufacturing fault in this seat. The Jaguar dealer has contacted JLR and hopefully they can sort it out..... otherwise the car is a dream

Same here. It wrinkles in the middle an the upstanding edge on the door side already looks dented.

Already took it to the dealer. They said it's guarantee and it will be fixed/replaced by a proper new seat.

Here's a picture of the seat after the dealer tried "finessing". They have now obtained a replacement seat cover which they will fit next Tuesday so I'll let you know how I get on

After reading this thread I had a look
I too have baggy bottoms on both of the front seats .
Not sure how much it bothers me at the moment , as long as they don't get any worse .
Next time I am at my dealer I will bring it up and see what his reaction is .

I have similar pits/holes too, right after delivery. Is it Windsor leather on sport seats in light oyster color?

I also got complaints, e.g. from BMW driver that the seats are very firm. And indeed, they are not comfortable/soft. Not sure if these are related issues, like part of the filling is missing ...

Yes Windsor Leather Sport Seats oyster colour. When I had a look at the replacement bottom seat cover there wasn't much padding, (I assume because of the heated seat area). Hopefully the existing filling in the seat will be enough to firm up the new seat cover when it is fitted next Tuesday.
