Advice on faults MY21

Post by Geo2020 » Tue Dec 01, 2020 7:51 am

Hi

Had my Ipace just under a week.

Loving it so far, but a few strange faults.

1. Car constantly reporting 0% charge on dashboard and app despite being full and reporting full range.

2. Doesn’t remember profile

3. Sat nav screen blinks every 30-40 seconds.

Have checked to see if there’s a software update but nothing.

The car is on lease and came from a dealership miles away so not practical to go back.

What’s the best way to get these sorted? Wait for an OTA update, or call JLR roadside assistance?

I would call JLR assistance, but you can take the car to any local JLR dealer to have a look at it, it doesn't have to be the supplying dealer.

JLR assist are not going to come out for a blinking sat nav or a misreported charge level.

They might if you say you'd been charging for hours and it reports no charge. ;)

Is there a systems reset on the IPace I’m sure it was mentioned earlier this year.
IPace SE Caesium Blue, Ivory interior, Air suspension, 18in wheels, Drivers pack, 360. arrived 16th July, very nice.

Hi
I also took delivery during the last week and have the same problem with charge indication but not aware of your other problems.
Jag Remote and Wattcat both show zero charge but normal range eg 183 miles at the moment. Wattcat also showing 0v on aux battery which is also wrong as car seems to operate as normal. Range and SOC normal in the car. Looks like monitoring errors at the car end.

Well having not actually received my new HSE, on checking in control it is showing 0 charge but 237 range and the 12v battery is showing 0 and The main battery is warning of low charge
The car is being delivered tomorrow afternoon, not sure what my next move is, do I reject it or hope I can get it updated at my local JLR dealer.

@peter34698, as I have not seen a faultless App for any of the EV-models regardless of maker, I wouldn't give it too much of a thought. I am in the same boat, delivery is tomorrow morning, and the app first showed valid data, after a few hours later it showed 0% charge, Alert for low Highvoltage Battery, and 70.2 bar pressure on the tires instead of 2.8 bar. I think the API and or the server is at fault, not the app. I just hope they get this sorted soon. Got friends with an i3s and a Zoe ZE50, and both apps are a similar mess.

I am disappointed in that I am sure that the data siphoning for the manufacturers own ends is surely working fine. We will see.

If they do, they do not do anything about it. Very rarely you do get a comment from CRC but I think they want to keep away from being shouted at and leave the dealership, who know not what they do, to interface with the customer.
