Damn, I'm really sad that JLR wouldn't let me order the all black rims for mine. They really look sharp on your car!

Especially at eye level. ;)

Been at the dealer 3 days, no up-date other that they have ordered a new 12v battery.

I had to get my 12v battery replaced too. I've had that same problem happen in few new fords too over the years, so I guess failed batches of OEM 12v batteries are an industry thing. :?

No further updates, I did get this rather random email today with a link to click but it's not really that clear what it is or what exactly it's communicating.

Hoping its as simple as that, the tech who came out said one of the major control modules was not responding and he thinks that's why the 12V battery wasn't charging. In fact, two techs came out and they both said a major module wouldn't communicate with the testing unit they had.

Left a message with the reception today asking for an update.

I'd check your paintwork, too - they chipped my F-Type's paint when it was in the workshop, did a bodge repair on it and didn't tell me. None of my cars are going near them again - untrustworthy bunch.

I take mine to a small independent in Southampton, Foxtec Services. Great personal service from a really competent mechanic. MIne's an ICE, though, he's not, as far as I know, an EV man yet.

So it looks like along with the 12v Battery the BECM (battery management control module, BMS) was completly dead.

A replacment has been ordered under warrenty.
