Got the car back all fine and dandy.

It was left on auto when I picked it up and this morning driving to work it all of a sudden went to full beam whilst following another car down an unlit road and for a second I panicked then realised what it was.

Happy to say it works very well.

Well I'm being sent on a curry collecting errand tonight, to I'll be able to report back this evening.

Judging by the auto light being on, I'm hopeful that I'll be reporting the same.

That's cool that it puts full beam on, even when there are cars already in sight. I was expecting it to wait until there were no cars around before activating, but having it activate immediately is better.

I hope you realise that a curry is a tried and tested way to induce labour, so make sure your car is fully charged tonight...

Nah, she's only about 15 weeks so far, so we've got a while yet!

As an aside which might possibly be related to this ADB fault.

According to the spec. ambient lighting is a standard feature of my HSE.
Looking in the manual it says go to the "extra features" setting on the touch screen.

When I swipe left to personalize my home screen, all these extra features appear except ambient lighting.

Is this another bit switch which got accidentally omitted during build ?

Do any of you missing ADB, also have a lack of ambient lighting ?

I have ambient lighting (blue glow in the cabin) but I'm not sure that we're supposed to have any control over it? I think you had to buy the optional ambient lighting extra to get the ability to change colours etc. It wasn't standard, even on HSE models.

It says in my configuration PDF that it's a standard feature of the HSE, like ADB.
I take it that you don't have this either then ?
I don't even have a colour glow.

What would be interesting is if those early MY20 cars with good ADB, also have this setting on the home screen.

Mine is an early MY20 car, and I have never seen that setting, and cannot change the ambient lighting, I have never even thought it was part of my spec and wasn't bothered anyway, I have had it in other JLR cars and never used it.

I am abroad at the moment so will have a proper route around when home next week, but I am more or less 100% sure the HSE isn't meant to have it, unless, added as an option.

Same here. I have MY 2020 HSE, but ambient light was an optional feature that I didn't choose.
