Hi gents,

Just picked mine up this morning and it's doing the same.
On mine it starts just as the car slows.down to a halt.

A little annoying but not anything to immediately worry about. My initial view was to leave it and see if it settles after it gets a few miles under it's belt.

I'll mail the dealer though and let them know.

For my car this creaking starts immediately the friction brakes are engaged (not during the regen part of the braking) and lasts for about a second DaveR, does yours happen under braking or just when you slow to a halt without brakes?

I've had this from day 1, using the friction brakes to come to a slow stop. In 10,000 miles it has not got any better, or any worse.

I've had a few cars that do this (i-Pace and 2018 LEAF included), all automatics I think. Probably just due to vibration caused by a resonant frequency of the pads grabbing / slipping on the discs. Similar principle to the hum made by a finger pushed around the rim of a wine glass. Although I can never do that. :?

I haven't done it in the i-Pace yet but in the LEAF 2 or 3 goes at reasonably hard braking from 60mph down to 10mph (when there's nobody behind to upset) seemed to help bed the pads in a bit and reduced the noise. Probably best done in low regen so the friction brakes are doing most of the slowing work.

Had this too, but only seems to be on low regeneration setting so maybe related to the system managing between regen and applying the brakes. I was not too concerned as I mostly drive with high regen. Definitely a type of creaking noise that I would not typically consider was a disc brake noise, more a suspension or something else. I though t it could be the braking control module activating or the system pressurising de-pressurising.
I have a only classic range rover with an early pressurised ABS system, that makes some weird creaking noises when pressurising! much worse than the ipace!

I have the same issue when manoeuvring at slow or stopped get some creaks when turning the steering wheel. These things are all the more noticeable with no engine running in background.
I have had the odd minor creek when manoeuvring

Not bothered at all.
Suspension and steering Often makes a little noise when under load, and for me is expected behaviour.

Though, if it made it a speed then I would be concerned.

Been trying to find it but I am sure I've read somewhere that due to the lower use of the hydraulic brakes, under certain instances the brake system is pressuried just enough to keep the discs clean and stop surface rust build up. Thought it was a good idea as when I had a Chevy Volt I was always being told to use my brakes more by the dealer as they always had surface rust on them when in for service due to lack of use and driving on high regen. Had to smile because I thought that was the idea of high regen.

They were probably looking for an opportunity to rip you off for a pad change! ;)
