Corris Grey HSE

Post by Dizzyfish » Thu May 23, 2019 11:00 am

Finally arrived.

Floored it. Heard an unidentified person in the car shouting 'JESUS F-ING CHRIST!'. Realised that was me. Its a beautiful car.

Went for the full gloss black like Basil's.

Here is what it looks like on the inside (minus one obvious action ofc)

Do you think I over did the PV charging?

Hi Timbo.

15.02.2019. I got in on a pre-booked build slot that could be fully amended.

You’ll only get these from main dealers from what I could tell. It also helps grease the wheels the more toys you put on it as they like to keep these slots for orders that can benefit from it rather than base specs.

Ask what slots they have first before you pick the dealer.

How are you finding 20 inch wheels, air suspension and active dynamics, any regrets?
I'm still mulling over air v springs and 20 v 22

My main desire to avoid 22" was the availability of spare tyres. I found only one in the entirety of Somerset when I originally looked wheras there were plenty of 20"s.

Having not driven one without the air and active dynamics I don't know how it compares. I am also as technical as a pencil, but...

I love:

1. Always driving around in off-road mode. It makes it about the same height as my wife's Evoque.
2. Raising and lowering it when I'm at the traffic lights to while away the time and confuse people around me.
3. Giving it beans in dynamic mode and having virtually zero 'squat'
4. Giving it beans when I go round a corner with a friendly camber. I have no idea whether this is helped by AD but it is simply glorious :-D

I don't love:

1. The terrible CLUNK it makes when I go over a ramp when in the raised position
2. The wobbliness of beaning it when not in dynamic mode and with raised suspension
3. The grinding sound the wheels make when raising it with the breaks on
