Please do charge to 100% and let it sit there for a bit while plugged in. Cells will be balanced and you might see an improvement.
Are you saying that balancing only happens when you're plugged in? That seems like a design flaw.

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android early access

Never had an android tablet, but on phones there's the "Reset Phone" option. I'm not an expert, but that and a subsequent system upgrade would seem to be fairly safe.

Re: Ok... Who stole my battery?

I've just been through this; my new battery is being installed. JLR made the dealer jump through all sorts of hoops to convince themselves that a new battery is necessary. After 4 weeks of messing around, including the service tech driving it home and back twice, I finally sent a stern letter to JLR...

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android early access

I am experimenting with OBD2 information with a Bluetooth dongle and so far my car reports 90 percent state of health via diagnostic port with 93 percent for the best cell and 83 for the worst cell. Totally different than the 98 and 99 WhattCat is reporting after 27k km. For now, I trust the OBD2 d...

Re: Battery state of health

Sounds a bit like my issue. How many miles can you travel on, say, 50% SoC? And how many kWh does the charger report for, say, 50% SoC increase? If you really only have 54kWh capacity then the 50% SoC drop will only give you ~60-70 miles; and when you charge it you'll be putting in a bit less than 3...

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android early access

My battery has a capacity of 45kWh and will be replaced. Its "health" is 95%. No idea how JLR measures "health" but it's clearly not reflective of actual health in my case.

Get a pixel 3a or 4, depending on how much money you want to spend. No bloatware, no bull..it, painless OS and software upgrades, great cameras, free photo storage. Just sayin'

Re: WattCat - InControl remote app for Android early access

When the battery is 100% charged, the health is 99%. When the battery is charged at 40%, the health is 97%. What is real health? I would go with the value at 100% though I cannot explain the difference. The API produces the values, I just present them :) My battery is bad (total capacity of ca. 45k...
