Re: Summary of I-Pace forum tips

There was another one to switch on automatically the forward sensors when driving at slow speeds. I did it, but can't remember how and it's very useful. I'll try to figure it out again, but if anyone knows, maybe they can post it for the others. This would be very useful. I have it in my Model S an...

Re: What Jaguar to buy with 200k € = 2 x FE

What a beautiful car. The similarities to the I-Pace are endless:

- stunning to look at;
- very quick;
- occasional reliability issues;
- Becker Mexico infotainment system a bit clunky;
- expensive to insure.

Any more?

Re: Fastned coming to the UK

Thank you for posting. I am very pleased to hear that news. We live in Edinburgh and two of our children are in London. Naively I had thought when I ordered the I-Pace that the journey down the A1/M1 might have been a one stop strategy - unlikely unless I sign up for Chewy's masterclass in EV drivin...

Re: So close...

Sorry tale over your Range Rover hybrid. I am glad you have got it resolved.

Your I-Pace looks great. I still have not seen one in the wild in Scotland.

Good thinking on Photon Red. Having emigrated to Edinburgh from the West of Scotland 35 years ago you forget about these things!

Ecotricity - UK motorway charging

There is an interesting article in the Financial Times today (4 January) about Ecotricity and the criticism which it is coming under for "falling behind the times". The criticisms are that Ecotricity's technology is ageing, its investment is lagging and that there are problems connecting some of its...

Re: Ionity Tracking

Tophe 74 We drove up from Alpes Maritimes to Zeebrugge a few weekends ago in a petrol car. As we were off the closed Autoroutes in the South and navigating around the protests we played spot the charger. I was disappointed with how few chargers there are - especially South of Grenoble. We also found...

Re: HSE Farallon Black ordered...

I could not get the Edinburgh dealer to show any interest in selling me a car. I gave up and went on holiday for August. It was no different when I came back. I am definitely not a showroom time waster. Anyway, we contacted Lloyds in Carlisle in September and they have been first class to deal with....

Re: Air suspension v. steel springs

Thank you for all of the comments. It has been difficult to find a coil spring demo -possibly my fault for not ordering from my local dealer. Anyway, after (too) much deliberation, I have updated my order to include air suspension and adaptive dynamics. I intend to keep this car for a long time (I a...

Electric A9 and ChargePlace Scotland

Most of my driving is short trips in and around Edinburgh but yesterday evening I was thinking over the longer drives that we will hope to do in our i-pace. I was really surprised to find that Scotland, which is a big land mass, seems to be well served with EV charging points with 800 - although onl...

Air suspension v. steel springs

I have ordered a SE on steel springs and standard 20 inch wheels, and I am wondering whether to update my order to air suspension. Apart from cost, my main reason for avoiding air suspension is that I have had problems with M-B's airmatic suspension on two different cars and thought that this was a ...
