Saw my first Model 3

Not a very exciting post but I saw my first Model 3 in Prestwick yesterday. Sort of blue-grey metallic colour. It looks better than in the pics, but I still find the front end a bit ugly. Side and rear are nice. But it’s no I-Pace! Nice to actually see one in the wild, although I’ll probably change ...

Thanks

Road holding in iPace much better than Tesla :)
Lol!!! Re-uploaded it about three times and it did it every time so I gave up! Grip from those P Zeros is impressive though.

Re: Stop charging at 80 or 90%

I find it too low to be usable. It is also different and I like the car to behave consistently. That's my view too (Tesla in my case). Only have reduced regen in Tesla if I charge above 90%, which is only for long trips, so that's fine ... until we get to Winter and then I have it every time I set ...

Re: Ecotricity - something has to change.

They do (i3's) that is. They do charge at Ecotricity Chargers. One idiot i3 drivers car had finished charging to 100% at Fleet Services (Southbound) and was still away eating or faffing around in Starbucks or something and thus blocking the charger from being used by a Model 3 (the Tesla Supecharge...

Re: Charge start delay and time stop functionality

Now I have it. Not too logical from the perspective of a technical user - assumption 100% charge needed if departure time set start early if delay means 100% will not be reached. For a non-technical user maybe the best option. When do you want to leave with a "full tank" and the car will do it's be...

Re: Stop charging at 80 or 90%

True, when I say “zero regen” I mean “almost zero regen”. But I find it too low to be usable. It is also different and I like the car to behave consistently. It changes the car’s behaviour and braking time is so ridiculously long that I find it unworkable without starting to slow down so early that ...

Re: Charge start delay and time stop functionality

Thanks for responding the car side controls do not work. Dealer is investigating. I have added a bluetooth control to the Schneider 7.2kW EV charger till the car gets fixed. Have you watched the video below? It’s possible that it just doesn’t work the way you think it does. It’s not exactly the mos...

Re: New SOTA InControl Touch update !!!

I'm in the same situation, having received the last (my first) SOTA update at the beginning of August, nothing showing on mine at the moment. It's a staged rollout so it's going to take time I hope this is not the problem most of us can't see the update. If JLR can't support a near real time 77Mb S...

Re: Stop charging at 80 or 90%

Plus the fact that you can’t use single pedal driving when you charge to 100. Wow! I'm about to disagree with Goshdarnit... (gulp) Only today, I charged to 100% and went out to my Creative Writing Class. Only 12 miles each way but I was able to use Single Pedal driving right from the word go. Bear ...
