Re: S19A_19.24.2-375121 = No lag in screens

Nope. I got S19A too and the infotainment doesn’t feel any faster. So there must be more variables.

Re: Seat cooler working?

Works great for me. I don’t like having my butt chilled so I turn the seat off and get very helpful back cooling on a sweaty drive. I have the WIndsor leather (hence upgraded) but not racing (so not top-of-the-line) seats, wonder if that makes a difference?

OTA is here

… and I saw it. See my post Going in for the recall tomorrow; any advice? , with pictures of OTA in action. Maybe everyone already knew this, but I sure didn’t. If everyone already knew, pardon the interruption and back to your regularly scheduled range discussions. It ran on 4g, it didn’t take that...

Having said that, I can't get it to show me any of the other subsystem versions.

Re: Going in for the recall tomorrow; any advice?

Okay, I walked away and came back in hour and it said update was done and would launch next time I turned the car off. Went for groceries and wine and when I came back to the car it was noticeably slow to boot and yup, OTA from 18.… to 19…. Living in the future.

Re: Going in for the recall tomorrow; any advice?

Well, dealer kept the car for hours, said he had to install three different updates. I got home and went to the settings to check for updates and hey, there's an update. Now it's downloading (over 4G, hmm). Wonder what I'm going to get? Wonder if I can turn it off and walk away and the update will p...

Going in for the recall tomorrow; any advice?

I got the car in January and have had no trouble at all with any of the automation, aside from slow boot and sluggish response.

Are there any particular updates I should ask for, or conversely stay away from?

Re: Home Charger - Dumb or Smart?

Partly because I have an open carport as opposed to an enclosed garage, I got a dumb charger. I don't mind managing the charging and, until the “stop at 80%” starts to work, strolling out to unplug. I don't see how a smart charger would improve my quality of life.

Re: What did you do in, or with your I-pace today ?

Drove it down to the marina to sea-trial the powerboat I'm buying; (my old one is of 1988 vintage and is being sold for a song). It's the one in the middle. The one on the right is the same model, looks bigger due to the angle; a Jeanneau NC 795 . The Web page says “Built in America” but that’s a li...
