Re: Jaguar confirms all-electric XJ, new range of electric cars to be built at UK plant

I can see the new XJ being an amazing car - Jaguar will have learnt from the iPace and improve the EV / Tech element further. The CEO brigade want a virtue signalling eco-executive car. Tesla wanted to disrupt the market and I think they are doing it. Would the iPace be here/as good as it was witho...

It's a sh!t world run by even worse politicians.
It's when the rules are written based on a violent fantasybook from the 7th century you have all this madness.

Re: Top Gear

Missed this weekend's Top Gear and started to watch it tonight on BBC2. Turned off when found they decided to broadcast an episode made in Borneo, the country that has a law that calls for those who have a partner of the same sex to be killed. BBC ? UK have multi-billion £ deals with Saudi-Arabia. ...

I still wonder what tech the Telsa provides that the I-Pace, and most other EVs, don't.
How about a super-fast, super-reliable, exclusive charging network?
If you have an e-tron the Ionity Network is super-fast and super-reliable. It's not exclusive og course.

I completely agree with you@Chewy(as always)
Just a shame that Jaguar can't get the charging right.
Hopefully SW can fix it..
If the I-Pace where on par with e-tron on both AC and DC charging it would be absolutely fantastic.

Re: 100kW charging is not a myth

How you choose to protect the battery in top and bottom has nothing to do with max charge rate at Fx 50% SOC. It only impact the charge rate on high SOC. I can't see what you mean by different chemistry. The cell is the chemistry. That is equal. The packaging is different. That is BMS, cooling and h...

Re: 100kW charging is not a myth

Charging will vary from session to session due to weather, temperature, how far the car has been driven, how fast it was driven, battery temp, current SOC, and more. So it may just be that rather than differences between individual vehicles. The battery pack can't be that sensitive. The e-tron gets...

I-pace SVR

Sources reporting from Nordschleife that a disguised I-Pace has been spotted there during the last weeks.
Anyone who knows what this is?

This is more than the twice the market price which is now around $100 / KWh ( £18000 / 90 KWh = £200/KWh )
$100/kwh is cell price.
With packaging and non-removable accessories attached the price is doubled.
