Re: Ioniq - efficient EV

I have just swapped out my MG ZS EV for one of these... https://youtu.be/nUUlAx40XU4 My wife is waiting for her new MG ZS EV. Rangewise she is stepping down from the Opel Ampera-e, but she's never in need of that range so on most other parameters the MG appeared to be better. Interior looks, interi...

Re: Jaguar Contact - SVT?

I'm playing around with the decompiled version of the latest InControl mobile app and I noticed a new API call that retrieves contact information for various JLR services. Sample output: { "contactInfos": [ { "key": "roadSideAssistanceData", "value": "+4780031055", "type": "PHONENUMBER" }, { "key":...

A year later, all newly sold cars are no longer allowed to emit anything.
Not even toxic particles from the tyres? ;)
Oslo is run by a radical leftist coalision. I guess they will produce tyres from the leftover of the weed they are smoking..

Re: JAGUAR I-PACE MY2021 announced

JLR will not offer it and doing it yourself would be a serious undertaking as there's more than just the unit itself that needs replacing. Are the processors the same or did the give the infotainment some more juice? Completely new unit. Performance is in a different league. It's what the I-Pace sh...

Re: JAGUAR I-PACE MY2021 announced

No. @Ardevd posted in the Norwegian FB-group that JLR confirmed retrofit was impossible. What a shame. Is it 100% clear that it’s technically impossible, rather than just commercially so? The latter might be reconsidered. JLR will not offer it and doing it yourself would be a serious undertaking as...

Re: BP Ultrafast (150kWh) Experience

BTW. The e-tron used to have 83,6kwh usable capacity.
Car produced after week 48 2019 have 86,5 usable.
The unlocking of the 2,9kwh is not possible through software. There are also hardware upgrades. Another cooling pump and so on

Re: BP Ultrafast (150kWh) Experience

Unless you have an Audi e-Tron that charges at very high power till the end. I suspect there is a "trick" otherwise Audi charge rate cannot be explained at least using the common knowledge on lithium batteries. I'm suspecting the e-Tron has a big battery buffer to the high end of the charge meaning...

Re: Tesla Quality Control Strikes Again!

Saying that the 0-80 in 40 minutes is not realistic is pretty odd. JLR knew very well what they said and what the car was capable of. Everyone with the slightest knowledge of EVs know that you can't take max charge speed and reckon that's the average. (BTW from 0-80 charging an e-tron you can..) It'...
