Re: 2,781km in 24hrs

The record set by Tesla Model 3 didn't last long - the Porsche Taycan broke it although it did it on the Narco circuit rather than the previous record set on public Authobahn by Bjorn. The Porsche Taycan managed 3,425km in 24hrs - so overall avg of 142.7km/h including charging stops. Driving speed ...

Re: BP Chargemaster activates first 150kW ultra-fast EV chargers

I'm sorry if I've broken any forum rules by linking to a 3rd party site. I was merely linking to what I thought was interesting news and was unaware that autocar was on a list for non posting. No apology required, if I didn't want to open an autocar link, I could just have put the title of your pos...

IMHO this is an opportunity for your Jaguar dealership to make you feel loved - throw yourself on their mercy and see how they behave :-)

Re: Charging stopping

Long shot (unless this is a known fault?) : Does the 13 AMP plug get warm? If so it is likely straining the circuit and that may cause car to detect problem and terminate the charge. [/quote] This is quite correct - The Jaguar 13A Granny charger has temperature detection on the 13A plug pins, and wi...

Re: Hello...

I don't have a home charger (just use the Granny cable + work charger), so cannot recommend for that. By the way you should consider that your -5degC allowance in the range calculator is probably misleading you, as the battery will not remain at that temperature for the whole journey, and if you hav...

Re: Hello...

I think you would have to be driving like a hooligan to get down to 137 miles range over a decent length journey, even in cold temperatures. I drive badly and would expect around 160 minimum range in winter, so you should be able to manage your 260 mile round-trip commute provided you can charge at ...

The granny charger will be fine for that commute!
What about for the 196 mile Woohoo! detour? :)
That’ll have to wait until early next week!
I am afraid that the range in Woohoo mode may not stretch to 196 miles!

Actually you get into the bathtub, after infant mortality passes, and before old age decay sets in :-)
