Re: Instavolt
Probably more beneficial for fleet drivers as the app allows for printable VAT invoices. I agree that 1p per kWh is not worth the hassle (and the extra plastic card).

Re: Canada - ChargePoint Home Flex strange behaviour
I would suggest you try waiting for the green light before locking the car and see if that makes any difference. Shouldn’t be necessary but I’d suggest trying it first.

Re: Where to put the GPS antenna for BlackVue Dash Camera?
Hi Ian. I have discovered a couple of places where a GPS signal can be reliably obtained. One is the area at the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror, next to the big plastic housing. The other is the quarter light window on the front doors, right at the bottom and as close as possible ...

Re: Begging Jaguar to use Tesla Supercharger
So do they work with the I Pace? I'm guessing not. If they do work then what is the cost? It is frustrating to have bought the car when I could charge for £8 for a session and today I paid £13.54 to charge from 12% to 32% (if I have remembered correctly). That's a massive increase in the cost of fu...

Re: Apple Car Play Wireless Connection Adapter
Hi Ian, Just tried this. Went for a short walk with our dog this morning and drove a couple of miles or so to a local wood. On starting the car I had to fiddle around with the Bluetooth on the iPhone in order to get the CPlay2Air to connect wirelessly. Once connected it worked fine during our short...

Re: Climate won’t start at 26% SoC
Yes. Below a certain SOC (can’t remember the number now but I had thought it was 25% so my memory is obviously wrong), the cabin precondition will not turn on in order to conserve battery.

Re: Preconditioning questions
I confirm that after setting the departure time at 9am yesterday (-10c outside), the app was reporting a remaining 11 min of battery charge at 9:01. I guess the 7kw cabin heater, and battery preconditionning sucked more than what the 7kw charger was able to give. It was explained to me by someone i...

Re: Help with choosing options to prioritise ride comfort
Thanks for all the replies, especially Thincat whose response was awesome, the best answer to anything I have ever posted. If I go ahead, it will definitely be with 18" wheels. Looks like nobody has anything positive to say about Adaptive Dynamics being able to improve the ride comfort above anythi...
