Re: Giles Coren i-Pace Stolen, Tracker easily disabled

Was this a publicity stunt? The car was found nicely parked within walking distance of his home. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/journos-story-of-how-his-jaguar-got-stolen-and-recovered-is-hollywood-worthy-159297.html I believe the shark-fin antenna could be shielded to prevent tracking, but the ...

Re: New Aston DBX Very I-pace like

My I-Pace dealer also has this Aston DBX on display on the showroom floor. The interior leather upholstery looked to be opulently luxurious but the body shape is over styled and sculpted. I disliked the "duck lips" rear spoiler, the gaping black mouth above the rear splitter put me off. The ovoid he...

Re: After deep sleep - no reaction at all

JagsG, If you pull the big screw cap off there is a small loop & cable inside the hole. Pull the cable to release the hood. Can you remove the rear centre cover behind the "Frunk" bin to view the 12 V battery. A Digital Multi Meter will be needed to measure the battery voltage. If the 12V battery is...

Re: New MY19 owner Qs: setting up full Apple CarPlay + low coolant warnings?

Hi IR44, re the coolant warnings, If I recall correctly there was a batch of plastic coolant header tanks with a molding defect that can bind on the fluid level float mechanism, causing an alarm.

Found it here ...

Re: CANBus : EPIC module (746)

dernotte, some very interesting test results, It surprised me that there is no constant rear wheel drive mode as rumored by JLR engineers . I assume the vehicle was "warmed up" to a stable battery temperature before the tests? Did the Comfort mode front motor cut out at a certain speed or only after...

Re: No Heat in Car

swing, you may possibly have two failures that have been reported here, HV Heater fault confirmed, low or lost gas from the A/C system. It would be good to see what parts are used for this repair. I wish you well for a successful fix once the parts arrive. Cheers, Steve P.S. Prius hybrids also use a...

Re: No Heat in Car

It is 30 degrees C outside at home today and 10 degrees C would be very cold in winter for me. My car may never need the HV heater to be activated, so I cannot test it myself. I believe that to get the I-Pace Heat Pump to produce heat, A/C mode has to be activated i.e. Amber on the lower screen. The...

Re: Wiring harness fix for MY18

IR44, this redesigned harness replacement has been supplied for some time after the original harness faults immobilized cars on the road. Please attempt to obtain some written documentation of the work completed. this could enable us to prompt our service dept. for this fix too. i.e. Topix reference...

There must be a few contacts on this forum who could "enable" enthusiast Thierry to become a contributing member, instead of CRC @Jaguar who seems have become disinterested.

Re: Who did it better? Mach-E vs. I-Pace

When the first photos and specifications of the Mach-e were released I thought that JLR had shared or sold the I-Pace platform design. The wheel stud pattern looks similar too, both have a small diameter stud circle. This link below might hint at a good supply of winter wheels for the I-Pace? https:...
