Re: Traffic Sign Recognition in km/h?

My outgoing F-Pace reads count down markers as active speed limits in mph (in UK), be interesting to see what my mid-May scheduled delivery I-Pace does (Always assuming that an additional 10% tariff for Austrian imports doesn't scupper the whole deal!) Not expressing any political opinion other tha...

Re: Wow - and Just a Test Drive

And dealer reckoned approx 3 month waiting list. Really?? Sounds a bit optimistic...there is a whole separate thread on delivery dates, but I ordered early in March (SE plus a few options) and have been quoted 31st July delivery. Not holding my breath, reckon I may be on for a 69 plate ( ) r...

Re: Occasionally get redirected to an advertising site.

Interesting...I have never had this on this forum, but happens all the time (every 5 or 6 page selects) on the speakev forum, I just assumed it was them not me. Obviously something else in play though...but I would suggest not this forum specific from my experience!

Re: Rapid charging problems

Can anyone please explain why the Motorway Ecotricity Type 2 43kw fast chargers ONLY charge at 7kw per hour? Recently had traumatic first long trip in my Ipace... ...5 hours sitting at different M1 charging stations on type 2 43kw chargers getting only 5 or 6 kws per session! This is one of the dow...

Re: Any idea what this is?

Testing of new cars can be unbelievably boring. There will be a number of cars on the road clocking up the miles. One programme I heard about, ran 24/7 and used a large pool of drivers. Got the miles done in record quick time. They clearly weren’t passing the time testing the infotainment systems.....

I only have 2 options. Guidance on / off (currently set to on) and Line markings (set to off).
OK, maybe it’s in the context sensitive menu for parking sensors rather than camera. Failing that it’s back to the manual, that’s how I figured it out!

Re: Front parking sensors

Indeed there is - the settings menu (little cogwheels icon) is context sensitive, if you go into the settings when the camera view is active you will see a submenu of relevant settings including the option to turn the sensors on automatically at (I think) less than 6mph. Lots more on this on the cam...

Just realised my mistake, it’s probably charging at 50kw per hour, the supply is simply what’s been delivered. 43kw in 4& mins, so just behind the top value.
That would explain it ;-)

Re: Polar charging

Was the car battery very low when you arrived? It will charge more slowly at very low (<20%) and very high (>80%) state of charge to protect the battery from overheating or uneven charging between cells. Sorry just re-read your post - arrived at 42% so not relevant. Very low battery temperature will...

Re: Long trips with I-pace

@Jelle v/d Meer - thanks for the comprehensive write up of your trip - good to hear and shows that we are closer than some would say to a really practical infrastructure for long trips. I think it will be interesting as more BEVs come into use and we see more pressure on the number of charging stall...
