Called the dealer as well. It indeed requires a manual action at the dealer per car before you receive the update. After calling them, the update popped up in my car within minutes.
News from my dealer…
My software still not updating over SOTA I emailed my dealer asking if there's a problem updating to 20A.
His response was that Jaguar faced some problems with some cars after updating, so they stopped the SOTA and now are working on a new version...
Anyone with more informations about this?

Contacted the Jaguar Norwich today and they are running on a reduced staffing level. Asked if the could help with the software update. They took my details and said they would ring back..........
They rang back said my car was ready to update now. Went outside started software check and sure enough away it went and now car is on new software.
So all you guys who are having trouble ring the dealer you bought the car from and request they push the software to your car.
Good Luck.
ADD are you still having to sign in virtually every time you get in the car?
S20A1 hasn't cured that one!
To be honest I haven't seen much difference apart from the JLR flash screen hoping that I stay safe and well!
Even that has worn out now! Well I haven't seen it for a week!

Hi Ian. I rarely use the satnav at the moment as I'm just doing my daily commute. But I'm still having to log in a lot. Not every time, but I'd say it's the same as before.

This is strange indeed. I can't remember the last time I've had to log in to the satnav/car although it does say 'Hello S please sign in' ???? I don't have any memories set and only one profile so if I'm logged out, how does it know that I'm 'S'?

Yes, that's the one. There's a separate login for the satnav system. It works fine without it, but things like syncing to the route planner app won't work. The message also just annoys me! Never used to do this.
I am still having to log in to navigation and my home WiFi which requires a password on most occassions. USB music still keeps forgetting where it has got to and reverts to the first track again. So no improvement for me.

In another forum I have read a post, that the lost WiFi password has been fixed in the Telematics version 18.2.
Some owners here have reported to have 18.2 maybe they could confirm this.

Ah... I have never used the route planning app which explains it. I use the same tools as I use on my Motorcycle and have my TomTom mounted on the dash. In these cases, I use the car Satnav for mid journey diversions. Works very well together.

I updated from 16.2 to 18.2 a month ago, it has not lost the WiFi password since. My general feeling is that 18.2 is more stable with updates and control from the app but that might be just a placebo effect. Navigation still frequently asks me to log in.
After about 2 weeks with S20A I must say I am happy - so far the music via USB always started where it ended.
Suggestions for next improvements:
* MuCH faster start up - or option to set which functions should start first. It sometimes takes more than a minute before radio starts playing and up to another minute before I can use navigation.
* Remember much more settings - mainly drive mode (yes I know that is linked to WLTP) and Adaptive cruise distance settings
* Loosen BMS settings allowing 100kW charging in a wider range of conditions
* Add % SoC in numbers in the driver display - it now shows a green bar and a battery symbol but it should be very easy and very useful to move the battery symbol a bit to the left and add to the right the SoC % (up to 3 digits).

I have no idea what version i'm on, I think it's 16.2 as it no longer displays on the software update page in the car, and I had telematics issues with the car early in its life and I know they did one update.

Most things work at 14.2 too. WattCat does not do any magic, it only pulls the data from the Jaguar server, this is how it looks under the bonnet:
{'key': 'TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_MAIN', 'value': 'J8A2-70712-AY'}
{'key': 'TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_SECONDARY', 'value': 'J8A2-70712-BY'}
{'key': 'TU_STATUS_SW_VERSION_CONFIG', 'value': 'J7A3-70713-AY'}
{'key': 'TU_STATUS_HW_VERSION', 'value': 'J8A2-70719-CG'}
It is very strange if the car reports 18.2 on the software screen and 14.2 through the API. I see that you do not have the latest BECM version, maybe you should visit the dealer to get H264/H280 ?

I have the same issue.
The car was updated to 18.2 (from 15.2) about a year ago. (And 18.2 is shown in the car)
However, WattCat is still showing J8A2-70712-AT (equivalent to 15.2)
I have the H264 update, but not the H280 update. H264 was done before the H280 came out.
But since I have no issues with this, I don't worry too much.
