Had an unexpected call this morning that my (well my company's) Firenze Red HSE is at the dealer over a week earlier than expected.

We ordered after the test drives first became available back in July having put a deposit down in May at the teaser event. We always wanted delivery in February as that was when the existing Company Car lease expired.

I've been on these forums for quite a while and gained a lot of useful information. Interestingly my previous Toyota C-HR also had a forum identical looking to this - including the logo (it somehow works for both cars) I organised some of that Forums physical meetups in the UK and would be happy to do something similar for the i-Pace if people were interested.

My company does app development so I know a bit about the challenges in getting the i-Pace software right which was another reason I was thankful that I wasn't getting the car until February.

I also Edit FascinatingTech magazine and took part in their Electric to Berlin challenge last year driving a Model S (you can find the story and videos on fascinatingtech.com), I hope to repeat that in the i-Pace later this year. In the meantime I will be videoing my experiences with the i-Pace - I was thinking of setting up an iPace Owners YouTube channel and perhaps inviting other members to guest video - Hypermiling with Chewy sounds good to me.

Finally our next issue is featuring the charging infrastructure and I am in contact with Ionity's PR dept if anyone has any questions we should ask.

Really looking forward to picking up my car on Tuesday.

Interesting Garry, would be good to know where Ionity plan on siting their next chargers in the UK and how quickly the two they are building now will be live?

So far only the two announced Maidstone and Gretna . I got the impression that they expected Maidstone to be ready first. They are going to hold a press event at Maidstone which we should get an invite to,

You could lock the doors for them, and make it beep and flash :)
:) I could but I guess it might be a good idea not have annoyed my friendly local technician.

Mine was activated 10 days before I picked the car up. as was my tracker subscription. If you log in to MyControl online it tells you when your subscriptions expire.

I actually got a message to say the car had been stolen when they were cleaning the car

Worth knowing. So I guess we get three years subscription free and mine expires 3 years today. Did you complain about your early expiry.

No, I didn't complain. I had enough of the salesman and sales manager by then and minimal contact worked best for me. The whole buying experience has been the worst I've had but so far the car makes up for it.

Congrats! Looks beautiful.

That showroom exit door looks very familiar too. Did you deal with Imogen or Dave?

Loving it so far. Only thing I have found which I didn't notice on my test drives is a lot of reflection on the windscreen from the dash. Maybe down to my seating position as can't quite get that right yet. Too many choices!

Jaguar windscreen angles do tend to attract reflections (IME). Some say black interiors are best to avoid them, but I've had black and found no real difference between any other interior colours I've had (ivory, oatmeal and caramel). Hope you can get your seat adjusted!

Mine was from Peterborough too, it's in Cambs, just. I recognized the floor socket I tripped over and the table position for the cheesy unveiling silky car cover (actually enjoyed that to be honest  ).

I'm still tweaking my seat position every few days too and I've only got the 10 way adjustable ones. Haven't noticed any particularly bad reflections yet but will be on the lookout now.

Firenze looks even better in daylight than it does under showroom lights too. Let me know if you ever want to swap your wheels for some all season shod 18" ones ;)

Yes I quite enjoyed the traditional feel to it.

Getting there with the seat position and raising my seating position has definitely reduced the reflections but still noticeable and I definitely didn't notice that on my test drive or my drives at Milbrook.

Yes totally agree the Firenze looks superb in daylight. We will have to organise a Peterborough meetup :)

Why not.
I don't know if anyone else dealt with Paul Charman but he is leaving in the next few weeks to a different manufacturer.
I have known him a few years.
He recommended Kurt Hellwing the workshop controller as point of contact in future

That is a shame Paul seems to actually have some awareness of EVs.

A meet sounds like a good idea, I'll have to get the cleaning kit out of the shed.

I found Imogen at Marshall's was also very clued up on the I-Pace, certainly compared to the Nissan sales people (on their own products) I've dealt with in the past.
Perhaps Jaguar actually have a decent training programme for some dealerships?
