I'm having niggles.

Seriously, has anyone got any Easter Eggs around rebooting? Shan't be disconnecting the battery...

The Customer Service button isn't dialling Jaguar either (with my share data SIM or the Ubigi SIM) I've used it once when the infotainment screen died and I had two hours without Radio 4.

I'm about to do the maps update and now hesitating about putting the USB flash drive into the data USB....

Disconnect the 12V battery for 1 minute or so?
Use remote app to enable service mode first. Should prevent any unwanted calls.

Also shutting down the car for at least 7 minutes does a full shutdown and restart of incontrol/bcm. I would try this before disconnecting the battery

This is windows ME all over again (head in hands).
And there we go again .
First, windows ME wasn't that bad. Itj ust did not add enough on top of a much loved windows 98.
Second, even the entertainment system in the I-Pace is Linux based.

Frequent software glitches, poor functionality compared to Tesla. Last week my reverse beeps stayed on when driving forwards, hilarious really. Brilliant drive, crap software. I'm sure the next Jag EV will improve in this area. I'd hope they also stop relying on third party products such as the crappy infotainment system and learn to deliver SOTA for the entire vehicle reliably and effectively. Yes it's a big change for them, also I'm sure they wanted to get it to market quickly, interesting how such a large business can still have these struggles. Next car will be a BMW EV (when that eventually hits the market) or the Tesla Model Y (same comment).

Rebooting the infotainment system can be done by holding the "call jaguar" button (in the roof) for a couple of seconds until the light starts blinking slowly. After that you have to wait until the car goes in sleep mode (15 minutes or so?) before the reset is done.

If you release the button too soon you can explain to the person on the other side of the line that you have pressed the wrong button.

If you disconnect your battery, prepare for a telephone call from InControl Secure ..... ;)
You should be fine if you set the car into service mode first.
